Put jack on the rear diff and set the two stands on the axle. then jack up the front with your wheels already loosened. pop off the fronts and move to the rear and vise versa.

Careful if you're on a slanted driveway and not in 4wd!

Went to a friends house to throw on my Eibach pro lift. All he had was 2 jack stands for his slammed Evo. 2 in the front and a floor jack on the rear diff. Also on an incline. Pretty hairy but he was the one going under the truck haha.

Always chock the tires! But yes I have always done this in the garage where its flat and I only need to get it about 2 inches off the ground.

No reason to be under the truck rotating tires. Expect it to fall in an instant at any time and you're good to go.

No matter the safety factor you build into your stands, if going to be under a vehicle, I also always stack up 6x6 and 2x4 blocks near the stands or under frame, just in case.

3ton is fine. You're only lifting half the vehicle. 2000 lbs. So have 4000 lb cushion. If you had to lift whole vehicle, 3 ton is still fine because you'd need four of them.

You'll be fine. 3-ton jackstands used to hold up 1.2 tons or so.

It's possible, but risky, to rotate tires with just a single hydraulic jack. I did it 3 months ago (look closely: the jack stand isn't touching the rear axle):

I've always jacked up the front, thrown a couple of whatever jack stands under each side, and then put the floor jack under the rear axle and lifted it. Put a block of wood on each side of the back if you happen to be nervous with just the jack, and then rotate the tires. You might be over-thinking this for a tire rotation. Just get the truck off the ground and don't lay under it.

He has a 1.5 ton jack stand people
You need to assume that at one point you can have all the weight on only (1) stand (possible) 1500 lbs. And remember the truck is heaver in the front.
SO do it this time but you need a 3 ton rated jack EACH you don't add all the weight together as it is only as strong as the lowest one (math and brain required )..

don't squish yourself and get better ones for christmas .

no. Anything other than $800 snapon jack stands are unworthy and and untrustworthy of supporting your vehicle.

Just call luke skywalker and have him use the force to support your truck. Yes you will be fine with those stands as nothing that is sold to the public is advertised at it's absolute maximum capacity. Although I'd be curious if those are even tall enough to be useful.
