I'll have to look into the second option and draw it out cause I think that system is the most practical and very modular. Swingout is the dream

Yeah I'm pretty sure if you mounted it on your top rac, it would work. It is hard to explain how it will work, but I have an idea. Maybe I can draw it.

    Lighting accessories:
I have been in a rush to get my lightbar on for the past week, fortunately I was finally able to rig up some harnesses and switches wired up. In the near future I am wanting to run all of my switches from @Iggy's switch panel, but seeing as I only have two new electrical accessories for the time being I decided to just use the two switch blanks available next to the fog light switch in the upper drivers side dash. I didn’t do much investigating up until the install and had thought I could just reach behind the panel to access the switches but quickly found out that was entirely impossible. Found a quick guide on TW and the lower dash was off in just a few minutes. My buddy from work was helping me out on our lunch break and we were able to rig up the harnesses, feed the switch through the firewall and rig them up In the dash before it was time to head back to work. We both were off at 11 last night so after we headed down to jam out the rest of the install. I got a pair of the sideshooter ditch light from the Cali Raised LED GB, took time this morning to get those all mounted up. Really easy install if you have the right tools on hand, only had a socket wrench in my truck and removing the hood hinge bolt. The bolt is tucked under the fender body panel and I ended up getting my socket wrench stuck, which led to me unbolting the side panel so I can pull out the wrench. Just glad its done and out of the way.

Took a little improvising but with the help of @RBfastback I was able to get the Morimoto 40” rigged up to fit the wind faring cutout perfectly. Really happy with the look of the new lights and I am very impressed with the light output.

If you have the time sometime and wouldn't mind doing a sketch up that would be great. Think I have an understanding of what your hinting at but that would be helpful!

Yea I messaged Gunny and I think he quoted me $130, but I believe its just the surround. I have thought about it, but I feel like I'd be stealing your signature feature

Super shitty drawing. Basically, the way the frontrunner thing mounts is a nut slides into the Channel on the side rail, the mount comes over, and a bolt goes through it to the nut. Good to go. This is my shitty drawing of frontrunner bolt in the channel

    IMG_0933.jpg

So, frontrunners rails are fatter in order to fit this channel. Since prinsu has such narrow rails, the mount would probably actually sit over the rail entirely and onto one of the crossbars if positioned correctly.

Imagine the line on the crossbar below is a t channel.

This is what you could do

    Sorry for my art

Glad you drew it out cause I was interpreting something entirely different but that is perfect. Will 100% go that route, I was thinking you wanted me to create a channel with a crossbar running vertical of the side faring. Thanks for the idea

No problem! Glad that made sense!

So I would still recommend using a nut in the channel and putting a machine screw through the mount into the nut in the channel. I think it should work out.

I'm honestly very proud of myself for figuring that out because now I can mount things like that to mine. Starting with a bottle opener.

Only issue you might hit is if that mount wraps over the bar. Might need to take an angle grinder to it.

Since you are in CA, I'd ask FR if it's in their showroom in Agoura and go look at it.

So yeah if you do it the way I said it looks like it should clear. How thick are prinsu side rails?

Seriously that's a game changer for using front runner accessories on Prinsu, going to change how I do a lot of things from here on out.
They are quite thin I would say maybe 1/4th ~ 3/8th an inch thick. Might need to make a buffer in the channel before the nut to keep it in place.

You can kind of see the thickness here

Oh yeah you are solid. That is thin. Well glad I could help. Can I see how you mounted the lightbar?

Last Q. Did the prinsu rack come with bolts to drop into the roof or did you use factory bolts?
