just wondering how many people jack up their trucks using the sliders as a jack point? I'm curious as to the difference between welded and bolt-on. I have the bolt-ons, and man they sure flex A LOT before truck starts to actually come off the ground. The first time I tried it I thought they were gonna go all the way up into the truck panel. I don't see where that would be much different than getting hung on a rock. when I let it down, it goes back to where it was. I got grade 8 bolts because I did not get hardened bolts with the sliders(thought it suppose to?). I also added got some fender washers to put on the inside of the frame because the washers that came with the bolt kit will damn near pull through the frame before you ever get them tight because the holes in the frame are so large.
    Just wonder others experience.

What style bolt on sliders do you have? Many require drilling holes in the frame and a few use the factory frame holes. There's a difference in the hardware that is required for each. If you drill your own holes then any washers will do. If you have drill-less full flange bolt on sliders, then you should have been sent special nuts with a large washer plate welded to it. This keeps the nut from pulling through the very larger factory holes in the frame.

Also, the flange thickness and the method to tie the back end of the sliders to the frame is critical in reducing flex in no drill bolt on sliders.

Unless I misread your post you still didn't say what brand of Sliders you got? I've got a set of Pelfreybilt Bolt on sliders and I jacked my truck up the other day when rotating the tires just to see how they performed. No movement what-so-ever. It's always been my opinion you get what you pay for. Not saying yours are bad (dunno). But when buying armor for your truck the last thing you want to skimp on is the quality. Never mind the price.

For the washers don't use a thin fender washer. Get yourself some square washers. They are about 1/4" thick. They sell them at Home Depot for about a buck each.

You need washers that are at least 3/16" thick. I doubt the frame is actually twisting. More than likely it's the flanges of the sliders giving.

Many sliders stop just at the fender flare. The assumption being that you are likely running large tires and they will start to pick up the rock by that point. They would have to hang lower to clear the fender flares which isn't a very good trade off.

Also, it's pretty common to MIG weld in this application. It's fast, clean and strong. TIG welding it takes a lot more prep, setup and time.

I'm just trying avoid slandering the person, he's obviously sold many on here, the trolls will come out, and I'm sure I'll be the only one with this problem. I'm sure a better backing will fix the problem, and I took a gamble when I purchased them. I'll make them work. I mean, there meant to take a beating, not to look good at the mall. The pelfrybilt obviously have a much better hardware kit, but I don't think they stick out quite as far. I think that was my reasoning in chosing these over the other brands? all in all, it just came with shitty hardware for mounting

I understand your position. I don't want to over step any bounds, as I'm sure the vendor in question would like the opportunity to correct the situation. But, if you need any thing, I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Lol that's just creepy, I was reading this thread.. I don't know if I want to, the washers that I have are bent into the large frame holes #gorillatight. I'm not worried about the sliders coming off. There are enough bolts and they have the Angle brace that goes underneath the frame too. Besides there is no need to jack up on the slider, I never even need to jack up from the frame rail. The rear axle and the front "jack point" is all I've ever used on this truck.
