Plan to get a Hi-Lift. I saw somewhere a mount for it that lets you mount it on the bed wall by the cab. Can't remember where I saw it. Maybe some can help with this.

Maybe I don't get the high lift jack, but is everyone buying armor to go with their high lift? I mean, how do you use that jack on a Tacoma with no plate bumpers/sliders?

Receiver hitch, I also have an attachment that goes into the spokes on the wheel so I can lift any one tire at a time. Remember a hilift is not just for picking the vehicle up. It can also be used as a come a long in an emergency.

Gotcha, makes sense now. I just see a ton of stock jeeps around here with shiny new hi-lift jacks and wondered what/how people actually use them. Thanks for the info.

I may have to look into that wheel attachment because my stock jack is useless now. Even my 3 ton "SUV" jack can't do the job without a 4x4 block.

Thinking of something like this? Keep in mind that this will not work on the 2016 cab wall, as there is no bed rail there. Would love to see someone come up with something that lets you mount it there without the bed rail...

The previous generation front bed rail will work on the 2016. You just need to buy one and install. Or you can steal the one off your second generation before you sell it. That's what I did...heehhhehhee

Hi lifts are great but I hate them with a passion. Once you use it a few times and it gets beat up they are dangerous and painful to keep functioning property. Love my big bottle jack. I usually have both and unless I'm hung up I choose the bottle jack.

But seriously hi lifts aren't intended for changing tires. They are recovery only a bigger bottle jack is much safer easier and stores easy. As dumb as it seems watch a hi lift tutorial and always lube it before use. Mine recently has begun to drop the whole weight of the truck every time I ease it down... And it was kept in good shape
