I think we might try and throw something together when Namyo comes through town. If we could ever get a date from him i will create a thread for it.

Shooting down next week...I kno it's short notice...and I'll only be able to stay in jax for a few days.
Last time I woke up early and drove out on a beach for a bit, tried to meet a few out there but they ended up like an hr north on the beach.

I tried Vilano last time down..was pretty cool but didn't catch anything right on the inlet. I think it was little Talbot State park is where some T'dubers were....we had miscommunication and was looking for each other

Fernandina area down to Hugenot have always seemed to be good. I dont go south of jax much. The only problem with fernandina beaches is you have to be a nassau county resident to drive on the beach unless you get a permit.and I dont know what you have to do to do that.

I think hugenot anybody can get out there and drive. :notsure:

I dont think I remember being able to drive on little talbot island beaches? I think most people just park and walk through the woods to get back there.

You can also fish on the south end of Amelia Island . Its the beach on the north side of the Nassau Sound Inlet when looking at google maps I think google maps shows it at Amelia Island State Park. I think its like 3 or 5 bucks to get in. You can fish the inlet or drive all the way out to the ocean. Ive seen many tarpon busting bait here. Doubt we could get one from land..but its fun to watch 150lb fish explode out of the water.

That does look like a good spot :D

When I was on Vilano beach I remember a few guys from here looking for me and being about an hr north...might be where they was :notsure:

you can drive on the south side of Ft. George. its a part of hugenot park.

nassau sound and ft. george are about the same when it comes to possible species to catch.

I like fishing in the inlet side of Hugenot...good flounder fishing there. I don't know if they still let you drive on that side anymore. I think they only allow driving on the ocean side now.
