    well the only thing i havent done yet is tune it. but thats cause i dont have the stuff for that. and havent figured out were to mount it in the cab yet.

    yeah u really dont have to tune it. I mean u can go out and buy a SWR meter and tune it but its very very touchy. I tried to tune mine and i gave up on it and i can still get between 5-10 miles. but than again i do have a 5ft antenna.

    Yeah i just got a small like 2ft one. It said on the back of the box that it should be good to go. I got one of the cig. lighter plugs for it. Thinking about mounting it in the center console but not really sure yet

    yeah i just wired mine straight to the bat that way i can run it all the time if i need it. Than ran the antenna all the way to the back by the tail gate.

    No because i make sure i turn it off when i get out of the truck. I also have my bed light wired to the bat and i just make sure they are off when i shut the truck off. Im sure it would drain it but prob not that fast.

    the radio uses about 2 amps. So you could run it for about 20 hrs before it drained the bat....

    Sure will. I put the air chuck on it last night. It's only a one gallon but it beats pumping.

    I'll also be bringing a two ton come-a-long that I bought to use for getting my mower unstuck.

    Couldn't you put the tow strap in one of the cubbies? or are you concerned with someone taking it?

    nah i probably could but those things get wet whenever it rains. So i dont want it soaking wet all the time.
