Jacksonville area Tacos..

I wasnt aware that bartram park was still open. my buddies used to call it "the pit". theres a hole over there that has claimed several trucks. my friends landrover was almost one of them.. lol. ever since then, i havent been back. too much watery mud for me, that stuffs a pain to clean off also.

 

well thats good to know. When i checked it out i didnt get in very deep so good to know!

 

i heard some people were makin new trails back there, so ive been kind of tempted to check it out, but ill wait until it dries up a little. the entrance is probably a few feet deep.

 

yeah when i went it was right before the rain and it was prob a foot or 2 deep.

 

well i went out to the regency dunes today, didnt do too much wheeling. my buddy in his 2wd ranger burried is his rear dif. after about half an hour of tuggin and diggin big holes, and almost gettin stuck myself, he was out. no pics unfortunately

Lucky. I wanted to do some offroading today but the locker mod took alot longer than I had expected due to some complications. We are lucky we had a day without rain.

 

same old dunes that have been there for years. just drive down 9a and get off on merill and take that side road thats right next to 9a. theres a smaller sandy area off of lee road i think is the name, and the other ones im not to sure how to get too. but theres always dirtbikes and wheelers out there.

ive been thinkin about doing that mod, but ill wait til my warranty runs out, i havent been in a situation where i need my locker in 2wd yet.. i needed it today in 4lo to jerk my buddies ranger out though.

 

yea, i watched that vid last night again and i was like.. hmm. that looked like fun. so i decided to check it out again.

 

haha that's funny. Yeah I was going to go check that out today. All well. The mod isn't too hard. I just had trouble because the relay I got was different than what's in the instructions. So if you get the relay from radioshack check out this thread.

If you have problems with the dealer you could play dumb about the mod and bs the dealer. Tell them you bought it that way or something. idk

that place is closed know, that was by far the best place ive been to. it was on jea property right next to the town center, directly in front of the publix. they put gates up now so no more hill climbs.
thats the place where i out wheeled my friends jeep, mainly because of my locker.. but i got braggin rights either way.

 

oh yeah i know what your talking about. i go to the place right behind publix and mud whenever it rains.

 

yea back behind publix was the first place i ever went mudding. it was fun back there, but then i heard about this place in front of publix, and this is where i got over mudding, and into hill climbs.. soo much fun, until ur truck almost flips, like in one of those vids with the ranger
