So the talk is out about a meet next month in New Smyrna Beach. Think anybody from Jax will go?

Hey guys, so I'm new to the Tacoma world and only lived in Jax for about 2 years. Trying to make some friends and get some knowledge of the land and any trails or anything nearby. Any one ever get together and ride? Used to where I lived up north where ever other turn was a trail.

I found a spot that looks sweet especially for some nature and possibly some nice riding, Google maps shows a spot of trees and trails south of batram park Blvd, by the power lines a trail cuts west and goes a good distance all over that patch of land east of julington creek. Any one know of the area?

Welcome @CookieOneLove ! Not a whole lot of trails around the area. I know there is jennings state park, and a few mudholes over near the town center (my favorite due to location). But I haven't looked into that Bartram area yet. What side of town do you live on? And we are still trying to do a local meet sometime soon.

I'm down in Mandarin. I think I'm going to take a trip tomorrow evening and see what the access is like to that area. The pin is where the trail starts right off the power lines

Hmm... I may have to check that out if it's a good trail. Let me know! I should be out there Friday evening after I pick up the kiddos.

Yeah I'll let you know, if you look it up on google maps you can really see how far the trails down there stretch out across that patch of land between the two creeks. I'm really hoping it's open since it's only about 10 mins from the house. Where are the town center spots?

Gonna need to plan the meets around the 4WheelParts t-shirt giveaway days. Same crap down here in south florida, the mall parking lots are full of lifted trucks on the weekends.

Sorry I didn't see the last part to your message. If you look on google maps there are a few mudholes behind publix in the town center. They run along the power lines too.

Hopefully we can get some of us out there. I had seen the rain coming in and backed out because of that, but then I became sick too.

What about the weekend of June 4th? Does anybody have any plans? Maybe we can meet at a place for lunch for a meet and greet, then hit a trail some where?

Its kinda dry right now, the storm that came through last week didn't soak the ground enough. I went out there on Sunday and it was almost dried up. Also, there are some areas you can get stuck... when you first go in there are 3 holes, the first one is good as long as you don't go close to the bank.the second you may get stuck in the center of it (I had to use 4L and move back and forth for about 4 minutes to get out). The third is easy. I would usually tell anyone, if you go out, and get stuck, I'm willing to help you since it's near my house, but I will be out of town until Sunday. Enjoy!
