2.5" strut spacer and 2" add a leaf for now, hopefully I'll be upgrading around Christmas time

 

Definitely, we got to start some where. I'm just hoping the 3" strut spacer that I'm installing don't make it too stiff for the front suspension. What u think? R u using OME springs & shocks also?

 

After i put my toyos on my forst tank got me 12 mpg

 

My rides not too bad at all, I have a little bump steer though. I'm going to get Bilstein 5100s and OME 887 springs

Yeah I plan on getting the light racing UCAs as well

 

Got it...I'm trying to get ready for the worst just in case... but I might do the same with the Bilsteins till I get my Coil overs

 

I should've got this ones for initial set up instead, but ended up getting some decent UCA's from ebay. Haven't had any issues with them yet. Will upgrade eventually to Total Chaos

 

they do pretty good, best when going fast offroad. maxed out preload I am not positive exactly how high they can go. I originally had them set at about 3.25" and I am sure they could have gone much higher. I lowered them down to 2.5"

I get about 15-15.5 highway and roughly 16-16.5 in the city.

I usually get about 250 miles on the odometer before my light comes on which makes it more like 267 miles when you factor in 7% increase over stock tire size.

 

That's weird, I'm not even factoring in the oversized tire and mine is usually 280ish when I fill up (before gas light comes on)

 

I'm comparing and debating still on what coil over is right for my truck... is so many to choose from. But the Icons are on my top 3 category.
Also, I need to get ready for the drop on MPG after installing my rims & tires. I'm gonna feel the chance over the stock fuel usage.

 

Hmmm... this got me thinking...why a difference in MPG consumption with the same set up???
Looking at the years of both of your tucks @slcsez2000 & @zakk123456 the only thing that comes to my mind is maybe cause yours is a newer truck??? Don't know..

Well let's see here...I have a front bumper, winch, rear bumper, front skid, mid skid, transfer case skid, sliders...maybe that makes my mpgs a little different.
Plus depends on what tires you have (weight) and pressure ...even wheel weight.

Oh yeah and driving habits.

Haha I think you solved it, 400+ pounds I'm sure makes a substantial difference

 

I still think for the money, OME kit gets you the best bang for the buck.

Honestly coilovers are cool and all cause you can adjust them but how many times will you actually do that? I mean once maybe twice and you never touch the settings again.

But anyway
I still would like to drive in a truck with a set of kings on them to see what all the hype is about with them being so "buttery" lol

And I don't have a garage at my condo so I carry at least 150-200 lbs of crap in my bed.
