My 98 has 4 in.beefed blocks, QA1 up front, turbo. My 15 4x4 stock looking for lift and tires.

Been watching videos I think I got the Ball joints installed into the upper control arms. took a 1 1/4 wrench fits the nut perfect. Ive got all the sockets and wrenches we could possible need. up to 19mm metric and 1 1/4 standard. dewalt 20v impact and a 18 volt milwaukee 1/2 impact If you can think of anything else please feel free to bring it.

I also do not have a ball joint tool

You do NOT need a ball joint tool...I have taken my suspension apart 3 times never used one.
Just need some Force and a mallet or hammer.
You will def need sockets bigger than 19mm metric.
If I remember correctly you might need 22,23,24ish but maybe those bigger ones were for the LR UCA large nut on top, can't remember. I just remember having to stop what we were doing 3 times to got to discount auto for larger sockets and it was a PITA!

Well Daniel showed up and we took a look at it and decided we didn't want to mess with it on our own so it looks like I'm paying somebody to do my lift thanks Dan for showing up call me anytime you know where I'm at

Y'all should have knocked it out.
When I installed my first OME lift I found a guy on here and he offered to help. Neither one of us had ever touched suspension before and it was an awesome learning experience for sure. You learn so much about your truck and how to fix things that might break on it. It might seem a little overwhelming at first glance but once you start taking stuff apart it isn't near as intimidating as you think. The rear is basically self explanatory as you just take it out and throw the new in.
The front can have some tricky parts but nothing unmanageable. You really should do it yourself and learn, you will thank me down the road when you have to replace something and know how :).
Honestly any more than 2-3 peps putting on a lift people just start getting in the way and chatting making it take longer haha.

I have faith in ya man.
I was actually taking a break to log on and see how this was coming along.
Hoped to see some pics :)

You're right man. I get intimidated when tackling things on the cars. Once I get over it and say "Fuck it!" I am glad I did. Sure I'll swear and want to throw my tools, but once it's over, the feeling of completing the task and learning something new is great.

I will be ordering lower ball joints this week. We'll see how it goes.

Nope Donnie at Dixieland off road did the install and the alignment. Great guy great price and hes done cab mount chops as well and said he would take care of that as well if needed once i tire up. He even called me a few hours after i picked it up to ask how i liked it and how it road. Thats customer service, most shops could care less once they get paid. I need a great deal on some tires thinking about running 305/65/17's. Has anyone in jax got that size tire to fit?

They are the same height as a 285/70/17 but an inch wider? Would really like to run these on my 17x9s anybody know if they would fit? Please any info would be helpful.
