That's what I thought you were talking about. Might have worked back when I was 18 raging in college but all the women I know are in their career and will not be down to bikini wash trucks lmao! Good luck with that . Sounds like a good idea in theory but I doubt it will happen.

Any of you guys have an idea of what might be going on with my truck?

Im trying to figure out what could be cause my squeaking. Its coming from the front and the rear.

In a nut shell, anytime something is moved on my truck it squeaks. Getting in, getting out speed bumps, when im braking, basically anything that involves movement.

My thoughts are that it could be my shocks, they are stock with 88,000 miles on it, or that it could be bushing on the truck since they are stock too.

Any thoughts would be great.

 

I'd have to say maybe bushings for the front or the leaf springs in the rear have dirt and crap in them and that's causing them to squeak

I don't think it would be the shocks being they only have 88k miles on them

 

do you have aftermarket leafs? Or did the previous owner?

 

nope, the leafs are stock, i think it might be time for 5100's OME and AAL's and bushing haha

 

I wonder if they are just squeaking. I added rubber in between my dakars before I installed them to keep them from squeaking. Then I started to get squeaking and turned out I installed the bolt backwards on my shackle and the bolt was rubbing against the metal everytime the bed moved. I have some 885s for sale if you need em Like 3-4 months old. I just have 886 coils I need to put on.

 

really? interesting..... would that still keep me at 3 inches of lift? im down to ditch these spacers haha

 

well I run them currently with 1/4 spacer on top. I think I got about 3.25-3.5 in of lift. I believe they are suposed to give 2.5 in of lift by themselves but don't quote me on that because everyone gets a little different. I just have the bumper now and sliders, skids, etc so I figure I need to get heavier duty coils.

 

how much for them?? They looked great last time we went wheelin.

I was going to throw them on here for $120 + shipping. Another guy wanted them but I haven't had a chance to swap em yet and he already bought some. Hard when I live in a condo and no driveway to work in lol.

what else did you run with them? 5100's and the toytech 1/4 spacer on each?

I have the full OME setup with shocks and Dakars etc. I hear they pair nice with the 5100s though.

 

haha in that case ill probably just order up exactly what you were running with them, make sure its nice and consistent.


Sounds like we need to have a mod day once all these parts come in.

 

This is what I was going to get at first. It is the OEM coils with the 5100s. I read they are a better pair than the ebachi coils.

Sweet sweet, looks like I know exactly what to order now! whats the difference between the 885's you have and the 884's in the headstrong kit?

 

There is a drop down where you can change what you want. You have an access cab right? 885s are medium duty and 886s are heavy duty for 200+ extra lbs on the front. If you run 885s on a access cab don't put a spacer on top. You might need new UCAs down the road though. Some people do some don't.
