Just read through this entire build thread after seeing your for sale ad. Such a cool truck!

    Couple questions:
    1) how is your center console and shifter surround that darker gray/black color?-- is that just the color of the earlier center console? I've got an 03 DC and I grow tired of all the light gray and want to mix in some black and darker gray... (already swapped to a black 3G 4Runner steering wheel, airbag, and column cover.)
    2) still no wheel spacers with those FJC steelies? My truck came with FJC steelies and 1.5 spacers but the tires were worn 285s... My buddy was selling a set of 5 brand new 255-85-16s on 16" Tacoma steelies so I went straight for those. But I would love for a bit wider stance. Yours looks pretty sweet where the tires are pretty much right with the edge of the fenders.
    3) Where's the build thread for your new DC?

    1) Center console is from the 1996 parts truck I bought and was painted black with a leather cover. The console was originally tan.

    2) No spacers were required for those wheels with the 255/75-17. However, I also don’t have fender flares which helps.

    3) I’ll likely do a build thread on the double cab when the single cab sells. Don’t worry, I’ve taken a few pics of the modifications, but I don’t have great photos of the truck yet. Needs some trans work after the engine swap, which sucks, but that’s life.

Just stumbled on this thread looking at 1st gen RC builds since I just picked one up. I met you at Cars & Coffee a few years ago near Denver. Think it was Labor Day weekend 2018 when I drove a GX up to my bro that he bought down here in Texas.

    I remember you. Wasn’t it a GX470 sport?

Proud new owner of Jethro here! Gotta say, pretty impressed thus far. I plan on keeping this truck for as long as possible. Replaced all the exhaust gaskets this past week. Purrs like a kitten.

Where'd you end up getting your 4Runner power mirrors? Were they OEM or aftermarket?

Looking to do this mod to my 2004.

They were OEM. Bolts right on! Aftermarket will too. The wiring is not bolt on, unless you have power mirrors already installed.
