Jailbroken iPhone 4 users!

Cool. The rom I have on my Incredible lets me do the same thing! People always trip out when they borrow my phone cause im always swithching themes lol

Did you install Winterboard too? After you download Winterboard, go into Settings, then click on Winterboard, click on the theme u want and then respring.

 

If anyone has a mac use the Pwnage tool instead to jailbreak the phone. That's all I've used and never had a problem.

anyone know how to restore saved SSH blobs? i saved them from iSHSHit, and i want to upgrade to the newest firmware, re-jailbreak, and still have my cydia apps. any help?

Not sure what OS version you want to upgrade to, but I recommend 4.3.3 because it includes all of the upgrades and you can jailbreak easily with jailbreakme.com.

- First go to iclarified.com and download the ispw file for your device and iOS version.

- follow this guide. I know it talks about downgrading, but it will work for you.

- iTunes will upgrade to your desired version (hopefully you selected 4.3.3).

- then go to jailbreakme.com and jailbreak.

 

BTW, to save your cydia apps and settings I recommend getting pkgbackup. Best $7 I ever spent through cydia.

 

ok. but if i restore and re-jailbreak, how will i get all of my previously downloaded cydia apps and tweaks back? manually? thatd be miserable.

 

Either buy pkgbackup, or (what I used to do) write down all of my sources and packages and re-download.

Alright I still have no Idea what's going on. I turn on green pois0n and go through the steps it goes through all the scrolling and shows the skull but then goes to connect to iTunes on the screen. After having a jailbroken iPhone then going back to a non really sucks I need it back haha

Did you just restore your phone? Or are you getting te screen that just shows the iTunes icon and a cord?

If you get the icon and cord you might be able to get out of that screen with tinyunbrella.

 

I just downgraded my phone from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 it's great having untethered jailbreak.

 

It says that my device isnt compatible. But I have the newest firmware. I tried to mess around with pwnage tool and tinyumbrella but thought I was screwing it up. Tried to downgrade but it wasnt working. I guess I'll have to live without jailbreak BUt yeah I go through all the steps and it looks like it's about to reboot then it goes to the cord to iTunes

 

Alright first off which phone do you have? second do you have SHSH blobs saved for 4.3.3?

if you wanna jailbreak your phone with the newest firmware its going to be tethered.

Use redsn0w 0.9.8b5 and download the firmware you need from this site.


If you wanna downgrade your phone follow this link. Remember you need to save your SHSH blobs to your computer.

Shit i just realized if your at that screen you are going to need to reinstall your firmware then jailbreak it. BUT if you have your SHSH then you can just downgrade it and make it easier.
