Jailbroken iPhone 4 users!

yeah I don't want it tethered... but last night i downloaded pwnage tool 4.3.3 and tiny umbrella. I let the pwnage tool do its thing. Then I followed the directions to put in into DFU mode(i think). But then I have no idea what to do with tiny umbrella. Do I take the 4.3.3 file that pwnage made and open it on tiny umbrella? I couldn't really figure that out. Then I tried to skip that and just go to "restore" on itunes and press "alt" while I clicked it to choose the 4.3.3 file that pwnage made but iTunes said it couldn't do it. A guy at work said something about downgrading his iphone by completely deleting his itunes on his computer, then going to download.com and downloading an old version on it and it put the original firmware back on his iphone. But I don't see how that could work....i guess i'll do some reading from the link you provided

 

now I'm in tiny umbrella and "start tss server" is all greyed out and won't let me click it...fixed....

but now it says i didn't do the firmware right lol Jesssussssss

 

worst comes to worst we can skype.

1.) open TU and click on your phone. Then click Save SHSH (make sure you have 4.3.3)
2.) in TU goto Advanced and uncheck Set hosts to Cydia on Exit
3.) start TSS Server
4.) restore phone. (when the restore is done you should get a error 1013. Download Fix recovery ) (im also guessing that you are on windows)
5.) once you download the fix recovery unzip and open fix recovery 4.3, (make sure your phone is in DFU mode)

Then it should boot up normal. Then you can goto www.jailbreakme.com and you will be all set to look at all the iphone p0rn you want!

 

is 4.3.3 the same as 4.2.8?? Cause on my TU the SHSH i have saved is 4.2.8and 4.2.10

 

4.3.3 is GSM and 4.2.8 is CDMA. So yes they are the same. So download 4.2.8

so yeah it's not even letting me restore the new firmware. I hold "alt" and press restore and it says "the iphone could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible"

are you serious? they are different firmwares. Hence the terms GSM and CDMA two phones with different hardware.

 

No shit if you look at the link I attached it goes to the 4.2.8. But the builds are the same. The only diff is GSM vs CDMA.
