They're both 3.5Ls, the Ford just has an extra 40cc of displacement which makes all the difference.

Or maybe it's the pair of turbos.

Nice choices OP :D . I also went from an '18 Raptor to a '20 Tacoma.

Yeah the dealer probably cut him a pretty nice check for that Raptor

To lay this to rest: in current F150 form, the once awesome 5.0 coyote is now a 5.0 poodle.

As much as $ will allow
    Welcome and Congrats!!

I have Raptor friends and all are like you described LOL I know there are hardcore Ford/Raptor off roaders but the ones I know have them for status (be contrarian to peers in BMer/Benz/Lex) and go crazy in the malls or putting around town LOL.

This is my 4th Taco and could be my last unless I come across some $ down the road and want another.

Congrats but I would have kept the Raptor lol. Glad you're enjoying the Taco. I'm about to do the same suspension and tires setup

Please tell me you didn't trade in your raptor, the dealer probably loved you tenderly if so....

Yeah I drove all of them and the 2.7 was my favorite. Someone needs to swap it into a Tacoma.

Not in a million years would I have left a raptor for a Tacoma!

But if you’re happy then that’s all that matters. Build is looking good, congrats and welcome to the Taco fam!

    Work in progress...
I guess was wrong. Ford, in their efforts to appease the EPA etc has ruined, in my newly formed opinion, what was an excellent power option in their F 150. I apologize Stocklocker Sir.

I think the 2nd generation Raptor is the baddest 1/2 ton pickup truck on the planet. I’m a bit puzzled as to the downgrade as well.
