so when I got my truck I noticed that the drivers side rear door lock pulled really hard, however I was still able to get it open, but now I can't pull it up at all. Any ideas??

Where do you live? If it's been really cold out and your truck sits outside the lock could freeze up if your weather stripping is bad.

Do I need any special trim tools or can I just pull it off with a screw driver prying on the edges

Just make sure to take your time when taking the panel off. You don't want to break any of the plastic clips off on the panel.

I don't think so because we know the owner and he has never had it apart for any reason
