i was able to pick up the u joint from there, the yolk flange which is the part that attaches driveshaft to the rear diff i'm still working on getting. i called a bunch of auto parts stores and they dont carry it, the stealership will only sell me a complete driveshaft. I spoke with the guys at san leandro driveline that alex referred me to and they are going to call their supplier tomorrow to see if they can get ahold of the part for me.

I'll try to get some pictures of some of the steps when i get the part.

I should be ok but if i run into any issues, i'll let you guys know. Thx

Fine, then you can be "That guy".

Fixed it for you. Yeah, most of the other little rocks managed to wiggle out, still have a remnant of the big one though. Gonna watch it for a week and see what happens.

I honestly don't remember seeing this much damage to trucks collectively at any time I've been to Hollister. But then again at the same time, the trails at Hollister have gone to shit in the last couple of years and trails that were once doable are more rutted out than ever.

I hope these pictures don't scare anyone that ever thinks about bringing their truck to Hollister for the first time. You can ask anyone of these guys that these trails are all pretty much up to you in if you want to take them on, or take another safer trail to get to a particular destination in the park.

I liked the trails, reminded me of Washington trails. I'll just say Evans Creek, where Hollister's Black Diamonds are Blues.

Hollister's trails are, in general, conservatively rated. That goes for the motorcycle side of the park too.

idk. Hard to say how much things have changed. I mean you go to the Sierras and things change depending on weather and so on. Same with HH. The big difference is HH trails can receive some grooming.

I finally cleaned the truck today :D

I'm hoping to make it on the Sunday of President's day weekend  Not a for sure thing yet, but if the weather's good, I'm passing through there. Probably going to be there only for the last half of the day though. Don't need a convoy, but a few other members being there would be cool.

Washed mine today. Got a few strange looks doing so too haha!

However, I did get a lot of compliments on base for doing what she's designed to do!

    Go Mini Land Cruiser!
