Long time for some picts...since my exhaust has been on since the fall. I still wanna get some sound clips someday.
Please excuse the filthy truck - it's still winter and too cold to do a full blown clean-up.

Flowmaster kit #17432 Cat-back dual exits with 50 series exhaust. These are just shots of the rear.

Exhaust looks great Janster. I'd love to hear the clips when you get time.

Looks great Janster....I want to do about 98% of the mods you have done with your truck but the price tends to add up quite fast...:) I am looking at your floor liners and I was wondering if you had them for the rear. If so, how do they fit?

I really like the way they look!

It's 'different' getting in & out of the truck now - but I'll get used to it. I'm not necessarily bothered by that part. I'm also hoping it helps keep the rocker guards free of 'crap' & paint chips this winter. :D

    Never updated this....till now.

I had an ipod2car PXDP unit for 5 years that worked flawlessly with a 2nd gen nano. I originally bought this unit and installed it in a Dodge Ram before swapping it over to the tacoma. After about 4 years, I'd upgraded myself to newer & larger ipods. The compatibility with the older ipod2car to the newer ipods isn't as good. I had an 80gig Classic and the click wheel was glitchy when plugged into the ipod2car - I'd unplug it just to select my music. Then - I got a 120gig and aside from the click wheel problem, the ipod would 'click' in the middle of songs. The ipod2car still worked flawlessly with the 2nd gen nano.

I decided to upgrade myself to a newer ipod unit.

In terms of functionality, the ipod2car unit hasn't changed much at all. It's still the same functions - which is a damn shame for them. There are other units out there that have better & more functions available.

I went with the USA Spec unit PA15 Toy and couldn't be happier. It has far more functionality than the ipod2car unit has. You can setup/choose playlists directly from your radio & show TEXT. The wiring (for installation) is longer and you have more freedom to mount the box where you want it.

Changed front diff, rear diff, & transfer case oils this week.

Used Mobile 1 75W-90 LS gear lube plus a 4oz tube of Ford XL3 addtive. Did a bunch of 8 circles and tight circles.

The last couple days getting in the truck, the first couple turns I'd make I'd get a little rumble but that as all for that day. After a few days (yesterday) I did a few more 8's and tight circles. We'll see.... I've been driving with the windows down and the radio off just so I can listen.

Changed out my cabin filter (I have 2 of them). I've cleaned these things once before, but during the 2nd time of cleaning these things - they begin to fall apart on the edges. So I tossed it out and will get two new ones next year.

last time my truck was washed was almost a year ago, so i'm sure i've got you beat on the dirty truck award. by "here" you must not mean the off topic section. i very rarely journey from that area of the site. you need to come over to my neck of the woods more often

    Been a long time....

The rubber strips on the top of the cubbies (??) are all peeling up. So instead of fixing them (I just don't have time) - I bought a black Husky floor liner that fits ontop of the seats when they're folded down. This thing is cool and matches my black husky floor mats (duh!). I like it....makes the backseat area look so much cleaner (and will keep it cleaner too).

Looks nice Jan, but wouldn't work for me. Drivers seat is too far back to fold the back seats down. (You should peel off the yellow sticker:))

Damn! How tall are you? ;)

Yellow sticker? OOoooo, that one. That's how much I notice things. I put groceries and 'stuff' back there and don't spend too much time back there.
Thanks! I might venture to remove it. I'd probably make it worse....

The USA Spec PA-15Toy? It's been working great!! Do a search on this forum. It's probably one of the most popular modifications here.
