Which catback system will give me a louder, deeper, and more aggressive tone, the jardine or the magnaflow??

I'd say save your money for another mod. Just my opinion, but I haven't found a 4cyl truck exhaust that doesn't sound like a ricer once installed, driving a Z71 with a 6.0 tends to do that to you. That being said, I think the Magnaflow systems sound better than the Jardines. There's a few threads on here that have sound clips of the two systems, it should give a a reasonable idea of what you can expect from them.

i didnt even know jardine made auto mufflers. i thought they only did bikes. i have no clue but would go for the magnaflow for the reason of not careing for jardines on a bike.

None taken, to each his own. Like I said, if I were to do it I'd go Magnaflow. You might check around and see if a local shop can bend you up something custom and throw the muffler of your choice on, I got duals on my old V-6 S-10 for $180 going this route. The thing to think about with mods is how easily can this be reversed in the event that you need to sell the vehicle. Often times it's harder to sell highly modified vehicles because you have to find a buyer with the same tastes and preferences as you.

yeah, that would would be me. i love my jardine. its nice and loud. nice and low around cruising speeds and when i get around 2000 rpm it really vibrates the cab.although being on a 4 banger, it does sound kinda ricey, but other than that, i mean its made by doug thorley, so if you decide to get dt headers, you will really see an improvement in hp and sound

Thanks guys. My question still hasn't really been answered yet though. Which catback will give me a deeper, smoother, louder sound?

To answer your question......Both will give you a louder sound, neither will be all that deep, and you won't be able to get that smooth loping sound similar to that of a big blocky chevy out of a four banger. Keep in mind my answer is highly opinionated and subjective, so is everyone else's. Search around the forum to find sound clips of what people are running and see what you like best.

Here's a link to a thread with a guy running the Jardine system:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/4-cylinder/27319-yet-another-2-7-muffler-question.html

I found a few others on Toyota Nation as well, good luck finding the right setup for you.

I have a magnaflow and it Does not have that ricey sound at higher rpm. It was better at first but its worn out now and just has a deep tone at idle and take off but cruising is quiet. you can make it louder when driving if you want but judging by that Jardine clip i wouldnt go that route lol

Jardines is junk. Just replaced the muffler that was on here when I bought with a new Magnaflow system because it had rusted through and the tailpipe fell off. Stainless steel FTW.
