Are you guys planning on hiking down to water level at Crater Lake? If you are physically able to do so, I highly recommend it.

Tons of switchbacks getting up and down to the water and I think each one had a bench. It isn't a terrible hike back up, but we did a 10 day road trip and the water at Crater Lake was my best experience of it all, except for the cheese/ice cream/fudge at Tillamook! Showers there are coin-op and non-heated at Crater Lake, small store has general and expensive supplies if you need them.

If you can make Yreka I would. Weed is halfway between Long Beach and Portland so its a perfect stopmpoint for me when I go through

You are about to get stuck in construction traffic at the bridge and then paving, too.

On our way up to Ashland, we passed a convoy of Riverside County fire trucks. On our way back, passed a convoy of Long Beach fire trucks.

I hope you guys don't ever have fires in Socal.

Is that YOLO exit? lol Should saw that thing down on the way back, and hang it in the garage. Nobody will see you doing it or in the back.

    This road trip sounds fun.
