No there is an original version with only Colt ford singing, which was the first one written. Then they co-wrote the next one together.

amen brother! aint never met a real country boy with ghey ass earings. only bitches wear earings. bitches love earings.

and for all you guys who like Brantley Dilbert (thats how he's known around here) He is a HUGE douche. He was 3 years out of high school and still showing up to high school parties wearing his letter jacket just to try to hook up with high school freshman girls. Hmm when I was 21 I was hooking with college freshman, not jailbait.

Brantley also thought he could run his mouth when I showed up a bar with his ex. let's just say his "bodyguards" didnt do much guarding.

    neglect, mostly.
yeah, kind of hate him. not so much his songs, but what he represents for the future of country music. he just sings about how cool he is all the time. that's not what country music is about. look at his life in general. from what ive seen and read all he's done in his life ever since he was little was get dragged from bar to bar by his mom to stand on a stage and play. where's the stories? where's the hard life and heartbreak country music is supposed to be about? he doesn't have it. all he does is market himself to exactly what he thinks will make the most money. but hey, it sure as hell works.

i mean, compare him to someone like Jamey Johnson, who IMO is a true grit country singer if there ever was one. JJ was in the army, got out (honorably), moved to nashville, worked shitty jobs, started his own business, did good, it crashed, he got in to depression and drugs, got out of it and now just writes and sings the most awesome songs out there. THAT is what country music is about. not some whiny voiced poser with two earrings singing about how big of a badass he is.

put it like this, Jason Aldean will never in a million years be able to write a song with this much soul and personal truths, cause his songs go no deeper than the words in them.

by the way, Merle Haggard is god. end rant.

I can only stand dirt road anthem when he sings it and even then it's only barely bearable. The rest of his music is decent I don't mind listening to him at all but he's far from the best or being my favorite. He has re-made a lot of songs but he also has a lot of original song that are all his own.

all good points. country musicians these days dont even write their own songs! its pretty sad. I love Jamey Johnson. I saw him in a small 250 person venue - hands down best concert i will ever go to.

what is considered "country" is more like pop. all though catchy and good beat it's not really all that country.

    I would :fenforcer: Lady Ghey

His latest album "Tattoos On This Town" has been in my CD player for the past month now. Really describes the small town I live in.

(He normally doesn't write his songs. Gets a lot of them from Brantley Gilbert, who wrote Dirt Road Anthem)

Yup. Justin Moore however, one of coolest mofo's I've ever met! Only 5'3"!

They played a small show at the auditorium I work at and he wanted someone to take him and his band out on the lake to fish before the concert that night. Guess who got to do that! Dude downed a bottle of Jack like it was nothing..

i'm more of a "texas music" guy than the "nashville" stuff, ..but i'm not ashamed to admit i like a lot of aldean's songs... strangely though, i don't like the dirt road anthem, in the OP, so much, ..but i think amarillo sky, tattoos on this town, johnny cash are pretty catchy...
