damn, that really is a wide skid. i like it.

Can never be too protected I wanted to make sure my alignment tabs were covered because they've taken a hit before and I got lucky they didn't get fubared up. Also I wanted the exhaust and more importantly the front drive shaft covered so I figured I would just make it that wide all the way back. I mean at this point what's an extra 50 lbs.

Maybe if you drop onto a few rocks it'll sort itself out.

 

take a look at my alignment tabs (actually the entire LCA mount) this weekend and you'll apreciate the extra steel you have guarding yours

we're in florida.....rocks are hard to come by

 

I imagine you could extend yours to cover up the tabs.

but thankfully still around in some places. I really need to head up to north GA one of these days.

 

yeah, i have the steel and everything to make the extensions, just haven't gotten around to it.

Nice work man, I'm jealous. Skids and sliders, or the lack of them, is what keeps me from any wheeling more than the mild stuff.

Nice work on the skids and crossmember, like Max said the only thing would be to kick up the section rear of the crossmember.

No I really thought about that. I have about 20' of that 2"x2" .120 square tubing but at that point I was so ready to just paint it and get the damn thing on. When I kick up the rear section I'll probably add them.

Next time your around here I'll show you a cool spot that may change your mind about FL.

 

Got it aligned, rotated the tires, and checked the torque on the front suspension this afternoon.
