Sorry so slow with the news but here it is. I installed the intake manifold spacer with the hopes that it would restore the low end torque that I lost with the long tubes and cat back. The great news is that it works like a champ! Now my low end torque is back right off idle as it should be. No more waiting until 3k for my power to come in. I just barely tap the throttle and the tires break lose whenever I want.:D

If you are planning to do long tubes and cat back then add the spacer to your budget and do it at the same time.

I may have missed it, but where did you purchase the spacer?

I realize this thread is kind of old. But just installed my JBA LTs and after talkin with Street Runner I also went with the intake spacer and I'm Loving It!. I'm running with a K&N Intake, Intake Spacer, JBA long tubes, factory Y-pipe, borla catback. Lemme tell you, it sounds great. Beautiful low end rumble, with some decent volume, but not obnoxiously loud...it'll turn heads, not from irritation, but out of admiration. When I step down, the low end blub-blub rumble goes away, and the truck is just screaming. in my experience, i have gotten little to no rasp, and I don't think anyone could mistake the sound of my truck for a ricer.

The biggest pain in the ass was the install of the headers. THe '12+ models all have that additional air pump system. That O2 pipe is a PITA from start to finish, but I would definitely do this again to my truck if I were asked about it.

Great review, I have one question though. Do those long tube headers fit up with the stock Y-pipe?

Fog light mod, JBA LT headers, drop-in k&n filter, energy bushings, tried fold topper, 2nd air filter removed, all new stereo system minus subs, plastisol the wheels.
How are the headers holding up?
    Any fatigue at the welds?

With these LT's, did anyone get any new header bolts, or just reuse factory bolts? Maybe the auto-locking header bolts?? What's the thread i.d. for this header bolts??

The JBA's worked out great. No issues with the quality. Sadly, a few months ago I lost control of my Taco in the rain, spun off into the ditch and she rolled over onto the roof. I was the only person involved in the accident and I was wearing my seat belt so I walked away without a scratch. I wanted to cry seeing my baby upside down, totaled. I bought her new and drove it daily for 15yrs, I had no intention to ever sell it. 2005 models do not have traction control and I had let my tires get a little to worn. Add rain and bad driving and that's how it ends.....

A few weeks later I ended up replacing the Tacoma with a 2016 Tundra Crewmax with the XSP-X package. She is black with gray leather and and I LOVE it! So far I have added the TRD front and rear sway bars and the TRD CAI. TRD dual exhaust is next. Please drive carefully in the rain and ALWAYS keep good tires on your truck.

Awww man, thanks for the share. I'm glad to hear you're alright. Tacos will take care of those who take care of them. Onto the Tundra. As long as you're happy, all is well. Everything happens for a reason. Make the best of what we have. Thanks again for the update. Marry Christmas, and likewise, drive safe. As in the motorcycle world, keep it rubber-side-down....

Upon header install, was the original seal/gaskets reused with the gasket in the kit??? I failed to reinstall... Damn!!!
