Did you grind off some of your rear shock mount? If you didn't, you need to or that hose will break the first time you wheel it.

Also get rid of your sway bar! Good looking setup

Looks like the main body could be rotated outwards while leaving the resi in the same spot and that would make it clear

Nope, tried it, it turned right back and snapped lol. Fox is literally rebuilding my shocks right now because of this dumbass design.

Well that's dumb! So they're asking you to grind the mount as well?

Apparently. I had to fight with them to get any of it warrantied too. They ended up paying for half of the rebuild and the return shipping. I asked if they could put the 90 degree connectors from their 2.5 rears on which would solve the problem, but they said that would make the shocks a 'custom product' and they wouldn't be able to pay any of the warranty.

    Pretty stupid.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably just make a split clamp with a keeper tab instead of cutting.

I'll have to pull a few leafs and check it out. I'm thinking I'll rotate the fitting out but still have the reservoir inline with the frame and just take a tube clamp to index the body of the shock to the bucket to prevent any accidental rotation.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I've read about it before and had forgotten about the issue.

Damn I just put a set of these on a buddies truck. It was a pain in the ass.. The arms are pulled in narrower than the bolt "tube", and that was without the washers..

Side note. Zerk fittings. Loosen bolt. How many squeezes you putting in? How often?

Gets washed weekly and ran hard at least twice a month.

    Hey, no problem. :D:thumbsup:

You can use a large screw driver to act as a wedge / keeper to get it into place and then as a lever to spread the arm to get that inside washer in without harming the bushing

A large screwdriver is an understatement, it took a very large prybar to spread the arms. Still stands that it's a pain in the ass, other UCAs aren't this bad to install. The arms could come from the factory spread to match or slightly have some slack as the bolt will pull it in tight.

If I were a gambling man, I'd assume variable is the through mount on the frame from Toyota and probably not so much the UCA itself.

Wouldn't be the heat from the mountains tube. It'd be the allowance of tolerance from the factory when the tube is cut.

The way that arm is tacked on the plate portion of the arm dictates the OAL on axis and furthermore they're most likely welded in a jig, and allowed to cool in the jig.
