My JBA uppers just shipped out this afternoon. Hoping these will give me the extra caster to shove my 35s forward enough that I feel comfortable wheeling them. I'm cleared in all on-road situations except full lock, reverse hard. I would really like at least on-road rubbing to be gone entirely, here's hoping.

This may be a dumb question but my cam bolt tabs are bent and caster is now at -0.9 on both sides since the caster wouldn’t adjust on the driver side. If I got these arms would they set the caster to 2.0-3.5 automatically or would I still have to adjust using the cam bolts? Secondly I have the TRD beadlocks with 285/75/16 I believe the offset is 10mm, and 7.5” wide will I need wheel spacers? Thanks for any input.

So I'm a little curious how these UCAs actually add caster. Maybe I need a diagram or something. I just replaced my stock UCAs with JBAs and my tires seem to be about the same spot in the wheel well, I kind of expected to see a little forward movement. Maybe Ill see it after alignment?

Exceeded my expectations. No issues at full droop and alignment came back well. Glad I made the switch

Well, after the install I'm now rubbing on my cab mount which I wasn't rubbing on before on stock uppers. How does this make sense?

What’s your Wheel specs and tires? And what’s your alignment numbers?

Dunno what my alignment numbers were before the UCAs because Ive been holding out on an alignment til after the install.

All things equal though, replacing the UCAs and changing nothing else I would have expected positive caster, as advertised, so if I was clearing my cab before it doesn't make sense to me that I'm rubbing it now. Am I misunderstanding?

So you haven’t gotten an alignment yet?

I’m asking what’s your alignment currently....you mess with the suspension, you need an alignment for whatever caster you need

Alright, that's fine. For some reason I had assumed that putting the new uppers on would just increase my current caster. Sounds like I still need the alignment to see the benefits of the jbas?

Yes, any time you change anything suspension related, you need an alignment. All three parameters (caster, camber and toe) are related to one another, so changing one thing will change the others.

Thanks, you'd think after swapping all this stuff out multiple times I'd have a clue by now... Guess not!

Mmk, did a garage alignment before the "professional" one tomorrow. Maxed caster and got toe and camber in good places. It's like driving a whole new truck, my steering has weight again and the truck doesn't dart or dive anymore. Good stuff
