How much lift? I was able to get 3.5* on both sides at around 0* toe and camber

I believe 2.5-3 in front. I will have to measure and compare to previous measurements. So your caster setting does that put the wheel closer to the cab or further?

It pushes it farther away from the cab, i did this to help clear my 285’s, but even with the high caster I had to cut a ton off of my cab mount.

Yeah I have no doubt the cmc is 100% necessary, I cleaned a lot of this rubbing up in the fenders with heat gun and dremel but at the full lock or backing up on a hill I still catch. I will be doing a cmc asap and once Marlen gets back to me on the caster topic I'll share that here.

You just need a guy/shop that will align your truck with 3.5° caster. I have ZERO rubbing at 2.5" lift. No BMC needed.

Oh I have that,my good friend is lead tech at Lexus so it gets the royal treatment lol. He'll do anything we need,I would love to get it to that point but every truck is different so we'll see. I do want to get him to adjust the caster a bit, I'm not trying to avoid a Cmc but I'd like as little rub as possible until then.

Would the oem JBA arms be fine with about 2" of lift?

why would you want a stock oem jba vs having a STD JBAs when they are the same price? just curious but they should work if you really wanted to...

I've had too much caster for months now, it has been a nightmare... so I am weary of arms that add caster. 3" lift currently but I am going to drop it to 2" when I figure out the arms.

thats called your alignment shops sucks if you have aftermarket UCAs lol. what UCA are you currently using?

I know that is the typical issue, but it is not this time. The LCA's are maxed out and the caster is like 3.6-4.5 or something like that. Way too high, steering is tough, I turn slowly to go easy on the rack and pump, and the wheels sometimes hit things. It sucks haha. I have fabtech's which say 0-6" but I've learned that they really just give way too much caster.

Sounds like you have UCAs meant for a 6" drop bracket lift. JBAs caster arms will be better as they are designed for 2-3" suspension lifts.

The normal one or oem one? I basically am trying to get all the parts one at a time to spread costs. It will be nice to get back normal caster and to stop topping out my shocks haha.

You need to explain what your whole suspension is shocks etc and take a picture of your setup.
Even if you are running that much caster 3.5-4.5, what is your camber and toe? i know people running that much caster to tuck them big ass tires in. It could be the UCAs, suspension in general is a bad setup, or your alignment shop sucks and dont know what theyre doing.

Well the tires are as far back in the well as they can go. In terms of front to rear of the truck. It's been a while but camber was something like .5 and tow was .1 I believe. Running 5100s on 885 coils. Stock LCA's. Stock wheels.
Some people may be alright with the caster but I really want to get it back down to like 2.8 so I can steer with ease again. The front also only has about 0.8-0.9" of droop, so I have to baby all bumps... otherwise the shocks top out violently.
    :burnrubber:

I am on my desktop right now but I can grab my phone if you need some photos.

These will be going on soon hopefully, gota find some spare time, also tempted to buy some toytec boss coilovers to match and just do it all at once. I have a 6in db lift currently with 2.3 caster and feel I need more. 20190314_165101.jpg

Dialing back your caster is unlikely to improve your down travel. If you currently only have .8-.9” of down travel you need to address your suspension set up. Your springs might be too high of a rate for the weight you are running providing too much lift and causing less down travel. The point of running these UCAs is not only increased caster but also increased articulation for down travel. To me it sounds like your shocks are the limiting factor more than your UCAs. Right now, I run JBA HDs on @Radflo Shocks ext travel coil overs and I have 3” of down travel. The ride is solid but I can still top out if I hit large bumps/holes at higher speeds. My caster is currently at 1.5 but I am going in tomorrow to get my numbers closer to 3+* of caster. Checkout the below link for more info on caster and how it impacts driving.
