A few mods here and there and counting....
Anyone here running here running these arms STD version with 16x8 ETA 0/4.5 offset/ wheels and 285/75R16? Want to know if there is sufficient clearance between the tire and uca before i replace the tires. Currently running 265/75R16s.

Since you are running 16x8 could be ok. Could always give them a call. From the JBA website:

Please Note: 32.7" and larger diameter tires need aftermarket wheels with less then factory wheel back space.
    • LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 9 wheel, -12mm offset (4.50" backspace)
    • LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 8.5 wheel, -9mm offset (4.30" backspace)
    • LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 8.5 wheel, 0mm offset (4.75" backspace)
    • LT285/75R16 (32.8" x 11") tire on 16 x 9 wheel, -19mm offset (4.25" backspace)
    • LT255/85R16 (33.10" x 10") tire on 16 x 8 wheel, -12mm offset (4" backspace)
    • LT315/70R17 (34.4" x 12.4") tire on 17 x 9 wheel, -25mm offset (4.00" backspace)

I'm having trouble pressing the ball joint adapters into the spindle. I'm using a pitman arm puller like I used to remove the original ball joints, but I can't get it to stay straight as I press. Any ideas?

Anyone know if stock OR wheels with 255s will clear? I would rather not run a spacer if I don't have to. Lift parts on the way - 6112s up front. Trying to decide on UCAs currently. I don't want to buy wheels right now.

Per JBAs instructions you do need spacers or wheels with correct offset to clear the UCAs with 255s.

My comment that you quoted was in response to someone asking about a totally different size tire.

I know, I was hoping you or someone else had tried them without spacers. It looks like a lot of clearance right now with stock wheels and 255s and stock UCAs. I will probably buy a set of spacers to have on hand when I do mine. If they hit, I will toss them on until I go to new wheels with 285s. Too many things to buy.

Do you know what the backspacing is on those?

I gotcha. Looping in @Jibbs because he helped JBA determine some of these specs through trial and error.

You will need spacers to clear 255s. JBAs stick out way farther than oem arms.

    Question:

Would the JBA's be overkill with a 1.5-2" lift? I noticed it says theyre optimized for 2-4". I'm looking at 6112's and while the lift maxes out at 1.65" for my particular truck, I get an extra inch of travel if I go with an aftermarket UCA. The JBA's are "right-priced" for my minimal demands.

So in a post a while back on here someone said there was a recall for rusty ball joints and such. I bought mine back in February of 2018 before the recall, just failed inspection this year for too much play in upper ball joints. Messaged JBA hopefully hear something back from them.

Only way to get a discount is as military. He doesn't run sales/discounts. The pieces are priced right anyway

Had JBAs on my Liberty and they were nice. My only complaint that I had was the powder coating kind of sucked. Had them for about 3 years and they started flaking around the BJ

Talked to Marlin he sent some new ones out gotta ship back the old ones. Marlin says there ball joints don’t fail. But both mine had a ton of play.

Also installed the new ones and the passenger side is a good tight fit with the boot, washer and the knuckle but the driver side has a gap between the boot and washer can’t get it to go further on either, which worries me..
