So I developed this rotational sound almost like the wheel hitting a tree leaf or something like that and I couldn't find the source.. I hope is not a bad bearing but I noticed this  and now I'm all :(

I just noticed the same with mine on the passenger side but I already ordered new ones and new BJ's as well. The old bushings do not have channel groves in them to let the grease go through them when you pump grease in them and this can happen when you tighten them back up. The new ones have the grooves. This is my project this week.

Not bad at all, undo BJ nut, undo UCA bolt nut, take out bolt, pull out UCA, pull out old bushings, replace, repeat in opposite order

The new bushings that have channels shouldn't need the bolt loosened right? That wouldn't make sense. But if these are the old version I would understand loosening it

The channeled bushings shouldn't, but while you're greasing and you see it bulge, stop and loosen.

    All the things!
Mine did the same thing... and here's why.

When I went to grease my UCA's, I loosened the UCA bolt until it was VERY loose (nut just barely on). I pumped the grease and tightened it back up. Here's what people fail to tell you. After you've tightened everything back to spec, you need to take a pick and poke the zerk, to allow the pressurized grease out. As you tighten the UCA bolts to spec, they'll capture the new grease in there and not let it purge out from the cavity. Purging the zerk after you're all torqued will relieve the pressure and they won't blow out.

    Lessons learned...

Edit: Here's a good resource video. The pimple popping begins at 1:44.

Too bad they don’t have a relief port like some large electric motors have.

    Same crap everyone else got
If you grease them with the bolt lose, then remove the zerk before you tighten the bolts, the excess grease should flow out of the hole. Then after its tight, just put the zerk back in.

I'm running with the big dogs now. No issues with greasing the new style bushings, no bent sheet metal and aligned to 3.2 and 4.0 positive castor. Steers fine. Drilled and cotter pinned the UCA nut too. Bilsteins riding smooth...........

I just broke half the zerk fitting in the arm. Any suggestions on how to get it out? Tried a screw extractor and no luck. Was trying to do have to remove the arm but I think I may have to and drill it out and retap the hole. Anyone know what tap to use for the zerk?

    Thank you.

No worries, I used to be a custom auto painter back in the day.
