For a daily driver/ slight off road they are a great budget friendly option but if you plan to lift/wheel then go for a uni-ball UCA or SPC.

Yeah I was told two weeks in April and now its 3 months (a month later). They agreed to send me a set of boots to hold me over until they get the new ones. I'm sure they would do the same if you asked.

Did you break the zerk at the bushing or at the ball joint? If its the ball joint I think that circle part of the bracket unscrews from the ball joint bracket. probably could use a set of needle nose plyers to undo it.

The bushing are in the arm. If it was the ball joint part I would have had it off and fixed by now since that's easier to remove

Been nearly a year since I installed mine. Just revisited this thread. No cracking or any other issues to report from me.

First set .....had them for 2 1/2 years, zero issues. I replaced them along with my bushings for maintenance, 6 months, still zero issues. Just lucky I guess.

the 30-40 day wait time is for arms with new boots. he actually offered to send me arms with old boots right away and send my the updated boots later free of charge. since im waiting on coilovers anyways i was fine with waiting. All arms shipped after july 12th will have new boots installed. which arent "new" boots. all these boot cracking issues are from them getting a bad batch from their supplier. boots prior to this batch didnt have the cracking issues

Mine have been on about 6-8 months too, no issues from me. I did have to add a washer in addition to the one he provided under the ball joint boot but no cracking or anything weird on mine.

Is that washer install correct? I think I only have one per side.

one washer on each side would be correct i would say.

Two per side is correct. Shortly before JBA switched to the newer style boots with the flex grooves, they started including 4 washers(2 per side) for installation. This was because in some cases, people were noticing a gap at the top of the boot after installation and use.

I bought my JBA's about a month before they switched to the boots with flex grooves. Following the instructions...I installed two washers per side.

I have that gap. That makes sense now. I couldn’t get a washer in the bottom so I just kept one on the top. But reading that makes more sense now.
