Same here I asked the question on the fj blue room and everyone shot them down. Their not made for an fj just stick with what works. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on these for my 2007 fj. The only thing I'm worried about it the backspacing. Seems like there is more on the fj then the taco. Edited just got some information aftermarket wheels will be needed to run these arms. On the fj anything larger then stock tires needs aftermarket wheels or spacers.

So who's running these on a 2016? If I decide to use these arms, I want to make sure I won't have any issues. I'm lifted 3" with stock 16x7 SR wheels and a 1.25" spider trax spacer. 285-75-16 and I have absolutely zero rubbing right now.

Don't know, never checked. I will get pictures tomorrow with the wheels turned full lock both directions.

I'm thinking of getting a set of JBA UCA, but after reading the last few pages, I'm concerned about my tires rubbing. I'm running 285/75/16 tires on a wheel that has a 4.5" back space. I already have the cab mount chop done, and I'll be installing some new King shocks.

    Will my tires rub?

Will the UCA hit the coilovers at full droop?

I run 285/75/16 tires on the TRD Trail Teams, which are 4.5BS and +15mm offset, I have the body chop as well...and they rub. My JBAs are at 3*, I am running an OME lift, 2.5", and yes, they rub. Also, though, I'm running spacers because of the wheels. If I wasn't running spacers, I think I'd be hitting my UCA. Duno though...

No, currently, I just rub fenders, that's just because the spacers. W/out the spacers, I MAY rub UCA because of the wheels I have, just didn't wanna find out. I don't touch the coils at all

So I read the first 15 or so pages to the point where everyone with these arms had just about abandoned hope for them regarding desired alignment. That was a year ago. I also skimmed the latest couple pages and see where people are now achieving up to 3*+ with these arms. Am I correct in assuming that the previously desired 2.4* by most buyers is now not an issue? With the holidays coming up I plan to one way or another start gathering lift parts. I have 5100s already with stock coils. I plan to swap to an 887, a progressive 3 leaf and a 285 tire. I don't wheel very often so I'm thinking this arm will do the trick given that they can be adjusted to the specs I've read are recommended?

I've been having a lot of issues with my LR UCA's - from ball joints leaking grease to bushings that constantly seem to squeak - and am thinking of going with JBA. A friend of mine had helped pioneer the earlier versions of these and says that the new ones are pretty much dialed in. I'd miss my 3.8 degrees of caster I think, but 3.0 is enough.

For those of you running the HD's, are they worth the extra money or will the STDs get you through most things? I'm more of an overlander with some more technical stuff here and there. I just want to make sure going with the STDs won't limit me if I decide down the road to start doing more technical trails.

I'd be willing to bet JBA is losing sales on these just from the simple fact that they're red. Most people have already stated they would like them in black and adding the cost of chemical stripping and powdercoating and you've added $75-100 to the cost. I like these arms a lot due in large to the easily replaceable ball joints but that red.......

I got them anyway and love them, hardly notice the red anymore because they're covered in dirt and mud now haha but I do agree.

I would have bought them at a discount not painted or powder coated also. But having the choice of a powder coated black would have been nice. I think red is his just his "thing".

99% of the people on this site would be fine with the standard arms. They will work just fine for your intended use.

Well thanks to this thread I think I'll be abandoning my plan for SPC LR uca and going with these. I'm a newb when it comes to lifts so I need to make sure nothing will rub if I decide to go this way.
Should I be able to get the recommended alignment specs (0,0, 2.7-3.ish) with the amount of lift listed below? See any rubbing issues with specs below? Thanks!!

Lift will be Bilstein 6112's set for 2-2.25" of lift.
Wheels will be factory 17" TRD sport wheels with 265/70-r17 tires (Duratracs) until I put on factory 16" TRD OffRoad wheels with 265/75-r16 tires (Duratracs or ST Maxx).
Either set of wheels will have either .75" or 1.00" BORA wheel spacers.

Thanks for the reply.....I plan on staying with 265/75-16's since it's a daily driver and I spend a lot of time on the highway. I was likely going to go with the 1" spacers to make sure I have lots of room. Hope it's not too much though and I end up rubbing when turning or flexing.

I hope JBA ships to Canada without any issues.
