Yeah, that was a big point for me, too. Norcal is wetter and muddier than Socal where all the uniball fanboys drive, and I don't want to have to perform routine maintenance to avoid all the wearing and squeaking and loosening issues those guys tend to have.
Yeah, I know, I've heard. That is what got me to click "buy." And yes, if I don't get the rebuildables, I will email him to get as et, and I woudl hope I could keep the current "old" ones as spares.

Are the rebuildable ball joints as weather resistant as the moogs? Seems just more stuff for salt and chemicals to work their way into

    Please do report back...

Thanks. I'll probably pick up a see for my FJ around tax return time. I'd like to see at least one winter's use from someone in the Northeast with them though

Thanks. I believe ya. Not really concerned about surface rust on the arms. Just dont have time or want to have to replace joints after every winter due to the extreme amount of shit they put on the roads here.

Listed for $60.95 EACH on his site. The boot looks robust, zerk in the top. I would think a shot of grease in the top once every tire rotation would suffice for a long damn time. And rebuild could probably wait for as long as an associated shock rebuild could wait.

Just got an email from JBA! Marlin's doing a promotion form the 24th through the 28th where you get a free ARB camp chair with any order of JBA upper control arms. He says no codes necessary, the free gift will be included with your order automatically. Cool stuff, thanks Marlin!

Will that promotion work if we order just through the site? And are the STD and HD versions coming with the new rebuildable balljoint now?

I looked at them in the box. They look pretty.

I do have a concern about the boot keeping the internals completely protected at full articulation. This was just from messing around with them in my hands for a couple minutes.

Boots seem stout as hell, and when it is all bolted onto the spindle, perhaps it will pull it all tight. He doesn't have pics that show this, however. Wish he did.

Also, they require a special pin tool for the top cover. Haven't opened the whole box to see if one is included...but there better be.

He has a video showing the cap tool, but he just hand spins it quickly. It would need to be torqued and have thread locker too.

I should clarify: it is more an adapter. From what I could see, it did not have machined flats or a recessed driver provision for applying a wrench.

I realize I'm sounding kinda lame about not unpacking everything, but lifr is a chaotic shitshow of constant interruption s these days, and I'm at work right now...

I installed my jba arms with my other suspension components over the weekend. Did get an alignment today and numbers are spot on as far as I'm concerned. Great product by jba. In the spring will mount my f5's with 265/75/16. image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

6112's with their included spring at third notch. Alcan 2" rear springs with 5125 shocks. All the components exceed my expectations and enjoying the ride.

Yes but they are built well in my opinion. If your plans are rock crawling maybe do HD.

Nope. Standard is what I'll have.

Any update on the possibility of a LT kit for our trucks? Has he started any RnD?

A JBA long travel kit would be cool, especially if it used off the shelf ball joints somehow. Not sure if that would work.
