I know which uppers I am talking about, which are the LR's. I came across this thread the other day and asked someone a page or two back why they were switching from the LR's to the JBA's, as I had just installed the LR's and kinda like the JBA's better. Then I kinda got off topic with the other indivudual who has them about the size of the nut. This is why I said back to topic. Im not confused. Thanks though.

All makes sense now. I like the LR arms for the adjustability but have read some horror stories. Personally I think for simplicity of design and serviceability, JBA takes the cake.

LR fucked up bad on their original run of arms and didn't help out the people who it effected. Their name means garbage in the local groups but new kids will often buy them to save a few bucks.

There is no real struggle here, just some who think they are better than others and are quick to try to call someone out for something when they werent there or had no parts of. I may not have had them tight enough but I had them tight enough that I didnt consider myself in any real danger! As for taking them to work to size up, thats a no go as I am a mechanic at a food plant and not allowed to take trucks into the plant. I have pretty much every tool I need to do whatever job I need and if I dont have it I get it before the job starts. This being said things fall through the cracks from time to time. So I over looked one socket.

Agreed I had a pair years ago on another truck that failed, and was told to go eat glass and enjoy it. Same as with my current Camburg's. Just waiting to put these bad boys on and give away the Camburg's for free. And now back to these beautiful pieces of art. I'm replacing the LCA Bushings and alignment Cams at the same time.

If you're giving them away I can find them a home lol. I just started with the free helping, I passed on some computer ram to a member here a few months ago.

I'm leaning towards JBAs next year when I need to rebuild my Allpros. I'll have them rebuilt and sell them for almost the cost of JBAs. @Blackout14 what's the progress of the LT version?

I'm more interested in his UCA's than a LT setup, but you never know right?

Yeah, I'd just like to see a simple LT setup for those of us who aren't regularly trying to get our trucks airborne. I mean the TC kit is the bees knees but it's really built up for someone running at 60 mph in the dunes where they operate. For a guy like me their LT kit is a lot of maintenance for the gain of a bit of travel. I'd like both worlds, if it's possible.

I just want to be able to drive it when I need it with a similar maintenance schedule to a mid travel setup. I have no interest on gaining travel at the cost of a current long travel setup that goes well above what I need.

Can I use these JBA UCA's along with an OME lift (887, 90021, EL095R, 60091)? Is there anything I should know before ordering?

How many miles are people getting out of the ball joints supplied with these uppers?

I live near the coast and my truck gets used to go on the beach for surf fishing, but my joints are getting Rusty after about 3.5 months. I haven't been on the beach since June.

Damn, I'll probably end up replacing mine in the next few months. Everything is functioning fine, but when your eyes are drawn to the red UCAs, you notice the rust pretty quickly. And before anyone asks, I'm very adamant about spraying off my undercarriage and suspension parts after hitting the beach.

I was thinking of doing that this fall. I also might try Chemical Guys Bare Bones product. I've heard good things about that and their Grime Reaper degreaser on suspension components.
