Want to know a super easy way to help prevent rust? I paint everything under my vehicles when new with Rustoleum black spray paint. Get it coated immediately before the rust starts. I also wash my truck just about every weekend. I spray my tires with tire shine every time I wash it. Spray the frame and whatever else you can reach with the same tire shine. Super easy, oily, repels water, helps prevent rust! Of course the fluid film inside the frame is a huge help but coating everything on the outside regularly also helps a lot.

Just tried the 1/4" spacer provided by JBA and found that it helped the rubbing but created some wobble at freeway speeds. I think these are simply not balanced and there is no way to get them balanced so I pulled them off. Wobble is gone now.

I got mine ordered and installed last night, alignment today. Everything worked out pretty good. One question though, the washer that holds the boot in place that sits on top of the knuckle - on one side it is nice and tight with the boot, on the other it moves around pretty good, not a tight fit. I did torque to 45lbs as per instructions and everything, except the one washer, seems nice and tight. Could it be that the boot is pushed up higher on that joint that it could cause this?

I have a few questions, if someone wouldn't mind helping me out it'd be appreciated:

    - Will I have rubbing with 265/75r16 on 3rd gen 4Runner wheels (16x7", 4.7" backspacing)?
    - Will the high caster arms be too much for a mild (1.5") lift?
    - Is there really no discount for uncoated/unassembled arms?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks!

I doubt I'll ever want to run more than 2 or 2.25" lift. All I know about castor is that I've been told to shoot for 2.5-3*, or as much as possible, and that my alignment guy only got me about 1.8*. I would guess that you can have too much of a good thing though. How much is too much, and what kind of range can I achieve with only 1.5" lift?

How about a group buy for gray or black? I can't do red

No worries, I guess I can just rattle can them.

Any more input on the caster numbers? I don't want to go far to the other extreme

Anyone using these with only 1.5" lift and have any feedback on your caster numbers?

I have 2" of lift and my caster #s are within factory. Actually going to see if he can move them a bit further out of factory.

    enough to have fun
finally greased mine, after a year of ownership. only took a few pumps, and good as new. the finish has held up very well to corrosion and wheeling, and i'm loving these UCA's

I just recommended them to my friend haha

I'm going to be installing a 3" lift soon with my jba's but i'm trying to have my rim/tire setup ready to go when i do. I'm hoping someone here could let me know if this rim/tire setup will fit, fit with trimming or require a cab mount chop, which i'm not doing.
    -17x9's with a -12mm offset and 4.5" backspacing.....with 265/70/17's (3" lift)

I'd be thinking the negative offset would pull the rim outwards but would that end up making it rub on the wheel well with 70's? and there should be enough clearance with the jba's correct? I just want to be sure this all fits before committing. Thanks for the help!

You should be able to run those tires with no lift and not rub

Going to order a set of these UCA's today. Does any one know if they come with new washers for the bolt and nut side? I'm going to be ordering new bolts and nuts from Toyota but it looks like the washers only come with the UCA kit. I just want to replace them since mine have about 140k of New England love caked on them.
