Hey, sorry if this question sounds stupid but I don't have a clue when it comes to alignments. I have installed a 6 inch RC drop bracket lift on my 2011 DCLWB and have 285/70r17 Duratracs on it now. I just did body mount chop yesterday so I can install 35x12.50r18 on 18x9 wheels with -12 offset 4.5 backspacing. While truck was in the air I noticed drivers side UCA had enough space between spring and arm I could put all my fingers through but on passenger side I could not get a finger in between arm and spring. Truck drives great and straight but it concerned me about the space between arm and spring. I am interested in the JBA UCA but not sure if this is what I need. Don't be too rough on me about the RC drop bracket lift, I had ReadyLift 3 in. lift before lol. Truck has always aligned good and drove straight but did not like it being so close to spring. Please help a old man out. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully tires will be here tomorrow and everything goes smoothly. I guess UCAs are in the future and probably gears for the front and rear. Man I really need for my numbers to hit in the lottery lol

I wouldn’t worry about it at all. That’s at full droop, meaning that’s about as low as the tires gonna get, and achieving that on everyday driving is pretty damn difficult. Even if in the off chance you managed to bump your UCA into your coil, it’s not the end of the world. People do it fairly frequently when out wheeling, with no ill side effects.

Its hard to see but on the inner side, you can see the bushing has popped out over the "barb" of the frame connection point.

So originally, when my shop called Marlin, he said the arms could have been shipped with the wrong bushings, but to torque them first. We torqued them and that fixed it. But maybe they were, in fact, the wrong bushings? Also as a note, the JBA arms only come with washers for the outside where OEM has both inside and outside (thus sandwiching the bushings).

OK so mine did ship with the correct number... Im wondering if they were designed to have four per side, as this would have corrected my torque issue (filling the gaps with the washers).

Put JBA's on my truck Saturday, we used 2 stock washers on the outsides and slipped the thin Jba washers in between to sandwich the bushing. Instructions are not very clear, but that's how we read it. 150 miles and no issues.IMG_20180106_161635124.jpg

Those look like 6112's on the 6th setting. I'm looking at the exact same set up but 5 on both sides with a 1/4 inch spacer on the drivers side with JBA's. Did you go 6 driver and 5 passenger? How much lift did you get?

Yep, 6/5. I didn't measure what it was before the lift, after im right at 23" P&D center of hub to fender. I was thinking of doing the same thing with a spacer to not max out the spring. Rest assured I cannot tell a difference between sides. The ride is very close to what stock on the OR is, I prefer a softer ride and the 6112's are great. I also did not put the sway bar back. Enjoy

Well maybe I will just set them at 6/5 and call it a day. Thanks for letting me know!
