Hey hey, so I just kinda went through this...you'll need to find out what your stock backspacing is to verify. IMO you "should" be fine with the spacers. I was looking at running my 2021 stock 16's and bought spacers just in case although ended up going with new wheels that have a -10 offset which ends up giving me 4.11" backspacing that will allow me to go up to 11.6" wide tire which is the widest I currently plan on running. Just remember too that changing the offset/backspacing also changes the scrub radius so your rubbing will need evaluating. Hope this helps a little.

    BFG K02s at 285/70 R17 (32.7" x 11.2"), BFG K02s at 285/75 R16 (32.8" x 11.2") 11.2" wide tire:
11.2" wide tire, if the factory wheel is 7.0" wide, you need a 4.00" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
11.2" wide tire, if the factory wheel is 7.5" wide, you need a 4.25" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
11.2" wide tire, if the factory wheel is 8" wide, you need a 4.50" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
11.2" wide tire, if the factory wheel is 8.5" wide, you need a 4.75" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
11.2" wide tire, if the wheel is 9" wide, you need a 5.00" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
11.2" wide tire, the above will have .125” tire clearance to the JBA arms at full lock of the steering wheel, with that wheel and tire setup. If you need a smaller back space a wheel spacer is needed, most common spacer is 1.25" thick. This is only tire to a-arm clearance, you may still need to do body mount chop and clearance the wheel wells and front bumper.

This is a great resource for calculating the different tire size/offset/spacing calculations:
