    That's not true.

Unless you are looking for some very specific application, like racing or something, you should always opt for the factor specs.

    This.

Backspacing and width determine where the tire will sit relative to the suspension.

Also, tire brand/tread pattern also do a lot to determine if it'll rub or not. Even within the same brand, an all terrain vs. a mud terrain of the same nominal size will measure differently, and may or may not rub. Even more, same nominal size and tread style (i.e mud terrains) will measure differently among different brands.

Then there's suspension setups, too.. Different lift amounts, different components (UCAs, etc...) all have a say in what rubs and where/when it rubs.

But probably the biggest thing is people who say "it never rubs" who may have never taken their truck offroad and therefor never actually compress the suspension much, so in those cases you might be able to surmise that it at least doesn't rub in parking lots...

Would love to see someone try using 33's with stock wheels and think they can clear without any rubbing installing these UCA's cause of the no context posts you guys made....

Aftermarket wheels and the body lift probably add some context

Prerunners and 4wd are same suspension. When they say no 2wd it is referring to 5lug

I have the JBA UCAs on my 2001 Prerunner. I'm happy with one minor exception. The boots for the ball joint started cracking on both sides after only two weeks of light duty street driving. Not a huge deal and I do feel like JBA is working to send this of us affected by this premature failure a newer style boot. Seems like a solid company with solid products. On the back of the letter from the owner is their lifetime warranty. Lifetime warranties usually have strings attached but the words sure sound nice. Haha

When did you buy them? I thought they fixed that problem. Thanks

I asked a simple question, you could have responded with "I don't know" instead of a series of vague responses. UCA's alone won't fix any rubbing issues as you implied. I'm just watching out for the random people that read through these forums and don't post as I used to.
