Someone has been using his pics claiming it's their original work, I don't blame him. I've seen my truck on Amazon before and the seller acts oblivious when you call them out.

Hey Jason, do you know if sierra4x4trailers are still around? Ordered and paid for some fenders about a month ago. Haven't heard anything about shipping etc. since. I've called several times to only get a voice mail. Left several messages...still nothing...

Sorry to add to your frustration here but this is extremely common when dealing with Sierra4x4. There are threads all over the place about those guys not responding to any type of questions and having HUGE delays on getting stuff shipped. Seems that your best option if at all possible is to actually go there (or send someone) in person and get your stuff.

Don't know for sure. Haven't been down there since I picked up my fenders last year.

All right. I guess I'll just wait. Just glad they haven't packed up shop since I've already paid. I also wanted to get u-bolt plates from them, but since they don't answer the phone OR return messages, I'll have to come up with a Plan B for them.

Question, I'm currently selling my stock Bilsteins out of 2013 TRD Sport. I currently have a Toytec add-a-leaf that I'm not happy with and planning on switching out for an All Pro Expo leaf pack. Would my stock Bilsteins and leaf pack with the add-a-leaf cut it for use in this type of build? I would probably swap out down the road, but just to keep the build price down to start with?

Jason, you have one SICK trailer there. I love it. I didn't go through every page, so I am basing this comment on the first post with completed pics: I see you have a standard battery in the front trailer box. I also see a power inverter and other electrical stuff in there. Since there is no signs of ventilation, I would have a slight concern of potential battery fumes from charging/discharging that could be ignited my the inverter, or a spark from a switch. Has this been addressed? I am still working on my trailer design with an M-416 trailer, and plan to have a gel-cell battery (Optima-style) for the 12V part of the trailer. Just was curious when I saw that.

Make sure to make a build thread once you start so that I can shamelessly copy all the parts I like. I know in our search and rescue trailers, they all have segregated, vented compartments for the batteries for the exact reason you mentioned. I'll be doing the same thing as you though and going with another Optima.

Having camped with Jason a couple of times, he barely uses the inverter. It's kinda just there just in case. And if he toggles a switch, the cover is open. I remember him using the water pump and the cover was open while he used it.

^What he said. I'm aware of the charge/discharge fumes with a non-sealed battery. Everything electrical is switched with circuit breakers (including the inverter) and only accessible by opening the lid. If anything electrical is running, the lid on the tongue box is open. So far the only thing the inverter has been used for was charging cell phones and go-pros. :anonymous:

At some point I'll replace the battery I have with a sealed one. Just not in any hurry to throw this one away considering it's still working fine.

Anything is possible with fabrication time. Shocks will probably be too long without cutting into the main box for mounts. It's all about cycling the suspension.

Good to know! I was just curious since I saw that. I didn't want to hear about someone getting hurt in an explosion. I figure better to play it safe and ask, than to just assume.

So I found this build because of the link you posted on defcons thread! All kidding aside...his trailer is nice but I would say $1800-$2200 nice and not the $12,000 nice he said it has cost him so far

Then I went through all of your pics on the first page and my hat definitely comes of to you sir! I can take something that is already built and make it much much better but to create from scratch like you have is pure talent.

I was able to catch a few posts with some info and one that caught my eye was a convo about torsion set ups. Like I said I need a starting point so I am currently shopping for a M1102 and I believe it has a torsion set up. Do you happen to know anything about those trailers and their set up? Will I have to modify the suspension for better results in your opinion?
