Yup. And a new grill, headlights, side markers, blinkers, high ouput alternator, complete timing belt/water pump kit, rear main seal, pilot bearing, intake and throttle body gaskets, accessory belts, radiator hoses, cv axles, battery, and possibly a new stereo. All that stuff is really easy to replace when the motor is not inside the engine bay. Besides, the wallet is out, may as well keep swiping the credit card until it says denied.

Also I've been re-reading Matt's LT build for some inspiration. Really, my hat goes off to you Matt for the help over the last few months. But because of you, I'll be ordering some brand new LCA bolts as well...damn speed bumps. :D

Parts have started to show up!
Picked up an 80 CF tank filled with CO2/Argon for my mig
    Wheelers rear stainless brake line
Spidertrax wheel spacers (for spacing out the rear wheels after doing front LT)
    130 Amp high output alternator
And (not pictured) a clutch alignment tool. So far I've only had to purchace two new tools. One being the clutch tool, and the other was the engine hoist weight distributor.

Now I just need a motor.......... :goingcrazy:

where are you getting the new engine from? I like this strategy, blow up the truck and upgrade everything while its out of commission.

Motor is coming from Colorado. It came from a rollover accident from a truck that had 37k and a comes with a shiney 6 month warrenty. :D

I might have made an additional impulse decision today to regear to 4:56's. I told my wife it was required. She didn't belive me but whatever, it's all much simpler with everything out of the way.

The cool stuff is starting to show up. :D

The new black headlights/corners showed up. I didn't snap a pic cause they are still wrapped in plastic but they are really clean. I'm sure they will look great on a black truck. I got new ones cause my corners were broke/cracked and one of the two headlights was kind of off-kilter and sun bleached to hell.

Trail Gear rear frame reinforcement plates. 3/16" of solid steel to help combat cracking/bending of the the c-channel rear frame.

Also a box-o-parts for the new motor (belts and gaskets and stuff).

It's not my fault TC is on vacation this week! TC goodies are all being drop shipped and I'm waiting for DSM to talk to TC as well before they place the order for my coilovers and tripple (yes you read that right...tripple) bypasses.

I just got the TG rear plates. My frame is not notched (like yours was orignally) and I hardley every have anything in the bed so I figured I'd start with just the rear plate kit and work from there if I see a problem. Also my rear bumper is custom and uses the spare tire cross member bolts in addition to the bolts at the rear of the frame. It's a really solid bumper but I wasn't sure if the box kit would interfere with it or not.

^^^ TC is a bunch of lazy assholes...lol...NOT.

thats cool you still have the spare cross brace, that will help alot.

the TG frame gussets are strong. they should work fine by themselves.

triple's up front is RAD! i'm waiting for a dude to get back to me... i might have scored a set of bypasses for my front end :D

So I planned on pulling both third members today. I'm going to take them in loose next week to a local diff shop and have them reagear to 4.56.

I started with the rear diff. Not very difficult, but that son-of-a-bitch is a hell of a lot heavier than I expected. My creaper is currently occupied by my transmission/transfer case so I was just laying down under the pumpkin. It was kind of a bitch to wiggle off the studs. I actually had to pull the gas tank skid off so it could barely squeeze out. As I pulled it off the last bit it shot forward and pegged me right in the forhead. Yeah...it left a mark....

Also I didn't realize there's a shitty paper gasket in between the pumkin and the axle housing. Yet another small stupid stealership part to add to the list.

I started pulling the front diff off. Tore one of the damn axle seals removing one of the CV's. Again...another stealership part. I got to the last bolt and it's a monster allen bolt. Biggest allen socket I have is a 10mm. This bastard is a 12mm. This whole thing has turned into a bigger project than I'd anticipated.

Understatment. It really was just not what I expected. So I got the 12mm allen socket and pulled the front out. The front diff is heavier than the rear! I think I pulled something. Gonna have to put the wife to work tonight...if ya know what I mean [IMG]

Well I always wanted my truck to be like the ones I saw in pictures. Now is my chance. :taco:
