Not exactly. I actually bought the very last two matte bronze f5's that Vin had. The spares I had in the truck will now be permanent on the trailer.
I kept the other two pro-craps that had a bunch of inside camber wear from the....uhh..."banana axle." I got those mounted today to the new f5's and will be using those as truck spares now.

My thoughts on a spare for the trailer....

While I think it would look cool, overall generally pointless considering I carry two full sized spares in the taco. If I decide to tow the trailer with the Tundra or the wife's runner, still not a big deal. Both those trucks have full sized 33" spares too. If I'm really motivated, I'll build a little trailer hitch spare tire holder to put in the recovery point on the back of the trailer.

Might be worth building a small hitch mount spare carrier for the trailer in the off chance you want some room in the truck.

It certainly would be a shift in weight but you don't need to run it all the time. Just a handy thing to have.

My trailer is like Jason's in that the axle is slightly biased toward the rear to add a little tongue weight. When I added my rear tire swingout to my trailer there was a dramatic change in balance. I needed to compensate for it a little. I already had 10 gallons of water carried near the front of the trailer, but I added another carrier for 5 gallons of extra fuel and a mount for my CO2. Adding those things helped to get proper balance back.

IIRC Jason is planning on a water tank near the front of the trailer. My guess is that will more than compensate for a rear mounted spare if he decides he needs one on the trailer, but I agree I think his current plan sounds just fine.

    I get that a lot.
Granted most the time it comes from the opposite gender, but I still take it as a compliment every time.

Little early season winter fun today. Drove the shit out of the taco today. Had a pretty hard nose dive that cracked the skid and blew the passenger side inner cv cage to pieces. Totally worth it though. Drove the rest of the trip home in 2wd.
