Well since it's all taken apart...may as well.
I finally have a fully functional e-brake after 2 years of not having one with the tundra axle swap. It's such a bastard setup. Somehow I was able to mate a tundra and a tacoma e-brake cables with some help from the hardware store, some old parts of the original cable, a bungee cord, and random shit in my garage to make a fully functional e-brake.

Sooooooo my shackles are indeed fucked. I went back and forth trying to drill it out and maybe use a larger bolt and sleeve. Just not happening.

So new shackles it is! Sneak peak of the jberry proof shackles from my fabricator.
Yes...someone else is building them :anonymous:

    Kinda.
But those with a keen eye will see the gusseted bolt sleeves instead of just a hole drilled thru the plate.

but they arent. IIRC the top width shackle to shackle is 3 inches and the bottom where the leafs mount to the shackle is 2.5

The tundra cable was $35 from rock auto. The rest cost me $5 in misc shit from the hardware store.

Not true at all. Just depends on who built it.
The frame is 2-3/8". If the fabricator used a 2.5" upper pivot, the shackles can be strait | | but they always rub the frame at articulation. If you use a 3" shackle pivot, you have 1/4" to play with on each side. My upper pivot is actually 3.25" so I have 3/8" on each side to play with.

Remove the old and install the new. Use some of your own ingenuity to figure out the details.
I can't do a writeup for random shit i have laying around in my garage that nobody else will have. Hell I used old bushing sleeves to keep the cable in place behind the shocks.

    12"

    And negative :spy:
