iDGAF about cluttering jason's thread hahahaha

i just havn't been all that impressed with them. for less money you can get a better all around tire.

on a dezert only truck, they'll be perfect. but a DD truck that's see's a hell of a lot more road than dirt, and the occasional sand... they're gay

they do hold up like a champ though, my alignment is way off and the tread is still even

Meh...they're alright. I liked them when they were new. When I first got them I loved them. They've got really good sidewall bite, they float on sand really well, and damn decent in the dirt. As I've put miles on them, the snow siping is completely gone so they pretty much suck now in the snow/ice. I hand siped them this winter and that helped out quite a bit, but still not as good as I'd like. I probably won't buy them again. Not sure what's next.[/QUOTE]

I have the same feeling on my procomps. I was planning on siping mine but havent figured out a patern, Have any pics of of yours resiped?

So this was my first time siping so be gentle. I didn't do anything fancy, just strait across. The larger lugs I did 3 passes and the smaller lugs I did 2 passes. Each pass makes two sipes.

If I were to do it over again (and I probably will), I would set the sipe depth deeper and I do the outside lugs probably 30-50% to the sidewall. You don't want to go all the way to the sidewall as it will encourage chunking.

    Thanks for the pics.
Looks good, what siping tool do you have? I am not planning on siping the outside lugs, want to keep them stiff. If I can figure out a functional pattern I may do some grooving also.

I made the best use out of the tools I had on hand. I acutally used an Ideal Tire Groover with a #4 blade and just flipped the blade upside down. With the blade upside down it doesn't grove the tire, rather it puts two identical sipes about 1/4" appart.

Kinda ghetto but it worked pretty damn good.

sorry if i missed this, does that just make the lugs softer to get better traction?
well not softer but flexs easier to grab into terrain?
