^Haha the $10k ride. I love how the first time in something built completely fools your puckering senses. You tense up and wait for the hit, and nothing :D

Brian wasn't kidding. He literally almost ripped the door handle off. I had to screw the two bolts back in with red lock tight.

Alas...my truck must have limits, may as well make them beefy limits.

I just realized something. You might want to put some washers on the bottom and space it out more from the shock. When you bottom out it looks like the straps themselves might hit the shock body. They stick up higher than the rod end of the shock. If it does its going to bend the limit strap tab

Way ahead if you. I stacked 3 washers to bring the strap farther away from the lower shock mount.

Soooo I spent most of the day down at Eric's shop today. What started out as just finishing up a couple small projects turned into a whole lot more. The original goal was just to make a skid for my HF jack and mount it to the cage, but one thing led to another.

We made an additional bar that wraps my spares higher up and ties to the bedcage. My license plate finally has a REAL home now too, not just zip ties!!!! If anyone rear ends me, they are going to have one fucked up front end.

Eric also CNC'd a mount for the jack/skid and also some gussets for my bump cans. The jack/skid is held in place by sliding into a tab at the bottom most part and is held in place with 2 hood pins.

Yeah the additions to the tire carrier started out as just a random idea. I grabbed a piece of scrap and we both just eyeballed it and agreed it was the right move to make. I'm beyond happy with the way everything came out. Eric really knows his shit, he's super personable, and his works speaks for itself. I'm a fan!
