They don't take up the under or behind the rear seat storage, do they?

No problem, there's still plenty of storage behind backseat driver and under the back seat.

Awesome. I want a good sounding system but don't really want to have to go aftermarket. But I also adore having hidden storage areas.

It's a nice system, keep in mind I've always owned keeping in mind I've always owned stock systems. It certainly provides all the bass and clarity I need in a system. As I said the storage is still good I keep my emergency kit, and about 8 ratchet straps in the backseat storage area and still have plenty of room left over.

It is by far the best sounding stock system I've heard...I love the JBL and it is definitely worth it in my opinion..you really don't lose that much space.
