Hey everyone and thanks in advance for any input. I know very little of not anything about the frequency and power ect… of speakers and audio stuff so if this is a dumb question I apologize. I’m upgrading the tweeters on my 2019 tacoma with a JBL system. I ordered the JBL club 322f since it seems to be highly recommended for the JBL system. In one of the threads I read, the mentioned cutting off the factory capacitor on the speaker since something something something JBL systems something something (I don’t understand). So my question is, do I need to cut off the factory capacitor when I install it, or should I leave it in place? Thanks again.

Those are a 3ohm speaker, I thought and read don't exceed 2ohms on jbl system. That's what Toyota jbl is all 2ohm. Heard problems arise, if exceed 2ohm.

The club 322f is a 2.3ohm system from what I read. I think somewhere they said 2-3ohms should be fine. But like I said the science I don’t understand. If I sorta get what your saying though is don’t cut it off if it’s under 3ohms?

I'm sure either on capacitor. I just was mentioning what I read in past. I also read those are 3ohm. But I'm like don't know a whole lot on this. Just read alot, haven't done anything to mine. Check out Ryan DCLB on here he did an jbl upgrade, he maybe ae to help you. Goodluck...

Awesome thank you. I think I read to many post and probably misunderstood or misread something. I’ll check it out though.
