    Greetings,

I purchased a used Sport DCSB w/ JBL recently. When the bass really thumbs, the whole plastic area behind the rear seat vibrates and sounds bad. I am not an audiphpile so I know nothing about this. I tried searching but either I am searching the wrong thing or there's no threads. Anyhow, would sound insulation stop this vibration?

If so, Once I removed the plastic behind the rear seat, would I put the stuff on the inside back of the plastic or on the metal of the cab?

    Thanks

I ditched mine, and dynamat then carpeted the rear wall. I found there is WAY more room back there without those bins. Anyway, yes a good place to start would be to dynamat the back wall then reinstall the plastic trim.

Yeah theres a sub back there, but it sounds cheap when the whole back wall vibrates. I'll try the dynamat on the back wall and see if it helps.

    Thanks

You should check and see if the clips are missing or broke. There are about 4 screws that mount the sub and amp to the wall and floor. One of the screws is the one that holds the plastic in place as well. Then there are a few clips part number 90467-10161. If these are missing or broken then it will vibrate. I have a 2009 and i have had no vibration unless i put something in the bin next to the sub that is loose. I just pulled mine apart tonight so this is fresh info :)

Found a video that shows how to remove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEcowYsoW-c skip to 1:42 for rear removal process.

Glad it helped! I picked up a bag of 20 of those clips on Amazon for $8, part number 90467-10161. I'm gonna dynamat that area while i deal with my roof leak, but wih all those clips in it wont rattle :)
