I tired searching but could not find the information i was looking for. I recently purchased a 2005 Tacoma with the JBL sound system. I want to add a dvd player but when I went to crutchfield.com it said that non of the dvd players were compatible with the JBL sound system. I do not understand why that would be. If anyone could please point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Because I know you can put one in. Thank you in advance!!!

here is the info i found per www.metraonline.com

    • -For Select 2005-Up Toyota vehicles with amplified systems
    • -Adjustable input gain
    • -USB update interface compatible
The TYTO-01 interface is designed to allow the user to replace the OEM radio with an aftermarket unit in select 2005-Up Toyota vehicles and retain the use of the JBL and JBL Synthesis amplified audio systems.
