    Hi all,
I have read through many of the posts in this forum trying to find a solution to the JBL reboot. I have not found anything that is similar to my issue.

Purchase 5/28/18. 2018 Toyota Tacoma Limited.

Since day 1, tried to connect my Galaxy s8+ to head unit via bluetooth. With in 30 seconds the unit would reboot. I figured it must be my phone since my wife's Galaxy S8 connected fine and head unit never rebooted.

6/15/18 upgraded phones to Galaxy S9+. Tried to connect to head unit again and did the same freaking thing. Tried wife's Galaxy S9+ and again, hers worked with no rebooting. Same exact phone. 6/16/18 Truck was taken in to Toyota, they said not their problem, Samsung phone problem. Ok I get it, passed buck.

It has to do with phone settings or something else with one's personal preference on their phone. I just don't know how to pin point it. Anyone else, know of something we can try?
    TIA

Ok, wife got it pin pointed. The things she did try that were suggested by Verizon and threads and didn't work are listed below.. 1.Resetting Galaxy S9+ back to factory as suggested by Verizon.
    2. Deleted any punctuation from contacts as suggested by a thread.
    The one thing that worked...
set the phone back up to my settings and set up my Samsung account (never used before), she connected by bluetooth to Tacoma, than the samsung bluetooth settings for Toyota Tacoma came up on the phone, she unchecked contacts and messages. No rebooting. Took truck for a spin still no rebooting. Seems to be a fix. Hope this helps those who may be having same issue.

My HU isnt jbl but it kept rebooting shortly after taking it off the lot. Long story short; dealer replaced it under warranty, and no more reboots.
*edit* Not sure if this helps, but I use an android on nougat os.
