Not at all. But, maybe I dont recognize it either. The system I have was installed all together, so I dont know it without the crossovers. And I'm
Amping them with plenty of power thru a JLAudio.

12 in sub for actual bass
Buddy put 2 10's on his lexus that has a factory amp. Just soldered wires to the stock sub terminals, which then went to a line output converter from pac. That had rca outputs that's went to aftermarket amp. Then amp to subs. Worked good. Wonder if it would work with JBL on tacos. Sorry if this have already been mentioned, haven't had time to read full thread.

I used an 8” Polk sub in the factory box.

Old thread but fwiw ... I kept the stock JBL headend, replaced the (junk) door speakers, added another (i.e. second) pair of tweeters mounted in the front doors, replaced the sub, and inserted an amp that powers only the sub. While not a thunderous system, it's far, FAR better than the so-called "Premium Sound System" that came with my Limited. I was concerned with impedance by connecting the tweeters in parallel but, 5 years later no issues, and I'm still very pleased with the overall performance of the upgrades.

What amp did you use to power the sub ? Was it had to wire ? I know this is old but any info you can provide would be great !
