I noticed the Non JBL has a lot of mid bass. But I'm currently getting funds together to do a Hertz Mille Pro system with Hertz H8 DSP processor to use as a demo vehicle for the shop I work at. I never much cared for factory systems since I plan on upgrading the system, factory amp's now are usually Can-Bus controlled and make it difficulty to completely remove. idatalink is working on a maestor AR kit for Toyota's which will completely eliminate the amp but retain all factory features. They have a kit for Ram and Ford out already, which if you're looking at doing a Processor makes it really nice with a plug and play harness for the amp connectors that goes into the idatalink box, and then into either an Audison or Kenwood processor.

If you care about audio and want a decent system and do not want to go aftermarket then yes, it's worth the wait.

If you don't care about audio, no it's not worth the wait.

If you are willing to go aftermarket - do not get the JBL. It makes things more difficult later and aftermarket is far superior to what JBL brings to the table.

Big picture JBL is only marginally better than non-JBL.

I've had both (16 non JBL and now 17 JBL), there is very much a difference between the two, whoever says there isn't is deaf or in denial wishing they had the JBL option.

I personally love my JBL, but as you can see, everyone is subjective...my advice is that if you are about to pay 40K give or take for anything, I would wait for them to get one with JBL on the lot to give you the chance to try both and decide for yourself which is best for your needs. that way you will be happy with your decision

Had a '16 Limited w/JBL and now drive a '17 OR without JBL... there's a difference. I'm not an audiophile but it's enough of a difference that upgrading the system is on my mod list. The stock speakers are... flat? in comparison and no amount of tweaking the sound from the head unit (treble/bass) fixes it.
