    holy shit, 240lbs? That's more than twice what an ARB bumper weighs, you will definitely need the 886s, especially if you ever have plans for a winch.

    I'm not sure on the final weight yet. The sheet of steel is 240lbs but I'm not sure what will be used. Hoping to finish up this week and I'll put it on a deer scale to see what it weighs.

    240 lbs :eek: damn man what's it made out of...1/2 inch steel? If it's going to weigh that much like Shay say the 886s will be needed esp if you think you will want a winch.

    I have 886s but might not need them with my combo. If you aren't in a hurry and can wait until I install my bumper I will kick you some cash to order 885s and give you my 886s.

    Might have to wait on the coils to see what I weight then get them. What's max on the 885's?

    It's 3/16" steel plating. I've used a quarter sheet already but this week I should be finish if I can get everyone together so I'll know before I order.

    Shay how far out is this going to take place? I'd like it soon but can wait if it's right. But I couldn't get the complete set if I got with your springs..

    Ok. Well our timelines might over lap anyway. I'm going to still figure out all I need so when the time comes whatever I do I'm ready. Just because I won't be able to support the bumper with stock suspension now.

    You need to figure out a way to cut some weight from that beast!! My front skid and AP was only around 130lbs according to the freight receipt if I remember correctly.

    I highly doubt that it is going to weigh anywhere close to 240lbs. You would have to use every inch of the sheet in order to get that weight. After it's all said and done it would surprise me if you use over 3/4 of the sheet. But if it does come out heavier than you would like, you can always cut holes in spots that don't need to be as strong in order to lighten it up some.

    Exactly. I don't think I'll use it all either and like y'all said I can trim the weight by cutting holes also. Looks like a target weight might be around Rogers 130 lbs

    They've actually been grinded on quite a bit. The welds weren't all professional or factory to start with so it's hard to clean them up.

    This thread has died a bit, all you college kids need to stop focusing on finals. Twin Peaks Gretna opens May 12th, we should do a meet there sometime shortly after. The 17th or 18th is the following weekend. Finals should be over for most of you. And it's about time we did a meet in the largest metropolitan area in Louisiana.
